We broke down in hillsville on a Friday afternoon late , our starter went out. The man at advance auto recommend us to outsiders . Andy came out said it was our starter but had to wait for one to come in the next morning. Andy got us a Uber to a motel. The next morning the starter came in, Andy put it on and it was a bad starter . Just my luck . Found one in Galax and Andy's wife Kathilene went and picked it up . Had to take the bad starter back off and put the other new one on . It worked , and all this time hurricane isaias was coming into the area . I can't thank this crew enough for what they did for us . Great people and will not rip you off. Couldn't have broken down in a better place . Thanks Advance for recommending the Outsiders to us ,and thank you Outsiders for all your help . Next time we're around Hillsville I'll get in touch with you and buy y'all lunch or supper . Thanks again Outsiders .Tim " TOOL MAN " Taylor & Sandy

I broke down on the interstate and BJ Wagner(the tow truck driver), recommended this place. Best decision ever. Great price, great service, and great customer service.

A few weeks ago my broke down as my family and I were headed back from South Carolina to Ohio. The people at Outsiders literally went out of their way to come to us at the Air BnB we found and get us back on the road. It was a simple fix and a great price, but the customer service was also outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area or in need of a mechanic as they are traveling through.

This company assisted me greatly when my alternator decided to fail on my road trip. Stuck at an auto zone with my daughter and dog, they were able to get the part and assist me, even after hours, so I wouldn’t be left stranded. The father and son worked fast and efficiently and the wife was a pleasure to text with and arrange payment and services. Very grateful for them! Thank you so much!

They helped us out more than they really needed to, going above and beyond to make sure my family was taken care of. Our car gave out on route to our vacation spot and it was a miracle we could get somewhere safe to pull over before it went dead. Outsiders along with towing took care of us, helped us get to the rental car place, and we were able to leave our car with them while we headed out for vacation. Picking the car back up was as smooth as possible without any hassle and they even made sure we had a ride from the rental car place as well, just so we could have everything settled. We deeply appreciated their generosity of spirit.

Great service and kind folks. Had my axle blow up on me riding down 77 and they had me fixed up in 24 hours. Dealership would’ve charged double and kept my truck for a week. Real magicians over there

I’m a very happy customer! The fine folks at Outsiders saved me when I was stranded nearby with a blown engine, and on a weekend no less. Nick and Katherine were honest, courteous, and so helpful from start to finish. I live in Canada, so you can imagine blowing an engine so far from home was very stressful, and the team was kind and reassuring throughout. They found me a used engine at a good price, answering all my questions and did a great job in getting me back on the road. Thanks so much from a happy Canadian!
