I cannot recommend this gym enough I have a condition called cerebral palsy and because of that I am in a wheelchair all the people here have been very helpful adaptive and accommodating in helping me in my Silat and Brazilian jiu jitsu training!

I’ve trained at this club in the past whenever living in Aberdeen. Always loved the members and coaches who you immediately look forward to seeing from one day to the next. I can only speak for BJJ, however I am aware that the club’s affiliation to the other arts come from the highest levels (Kali, CSW etc). The BJJ coaches each have their own methods and teaching styles so you get a great range of talent and experience in each class but ensuring a grasp of the fundamentals as well as more technical jiujitsu. A lot of clubs seem to lose connection to their routes/lineage but I was always proud at AMAG to be connected through Peter Richardson to Rey Diogo, Carlson Gracie Jr. and of course the late Great Carlson Gracie himself.

Trained here for a long time and has a great vibe with excellent training facilities.Friendly atmosphere where you could train for fun or take it to competition level. Made so many friends over the years training here and my skillet has grown tremendously.

As a family we’ve all trained at AMAG and love it. The classes are structured well and the coaches are amazing at what they do. My kids attend BJJ and Thai kickboxing and have done for a few few years. They have come on in their confidence and physically. The ethos of AMAG is very inclusive and respectful. A great place for kids and adults to train.

My 3 children are all members of Aberdeen Martial Arts Group, from moment my children walked through the door of the gym they were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable instructors. The atmosphere in the gym is extremely welcoming and inclusive which makes it a great place to learn for each of their individual skill levels.Recently two of my children competed in an event and the addition training and instruction that they were given to prepare them for the event was exceptional. One of my children in particular increase in levels of fitness, confidence and ability has been amazing.I genuinely cannot recommend Aberdeen Martial Arts Group enough to any parent that wants to get their children into Martial Arts.

My son has been training here for over a year now, I can't believe the change in him both physically and mentally. Obviously he is stronger and fitter but it's his mental attitude change that has impressed me the most. He is doing better at school, is more focused in general. I truly believe this is a direct result of training and learning his Thai and BJJ. Great club and great mentors for a teenage boy. Thanks guys.

Great gym! Instructors are highly skilled and able to support participants from beginner to advanced. Peter and leigh have created a great atmosphere at the gym and are also responsible for bringing over world class instructors to Aberdeen to deliver seminars.

Something for everyone. This really is a fantastic place to be. If you’ve ever thought about giving BJJ, Muay Thai, Kali or MMA a go come along and give it a go. The people are great, friendly, supportive and the banter is pretty good too. It’s a safe and supportive environment to train in and everyone is made to feel welcome and supported. The kids/teens classes are absolutely awesome with Tuki, Leigh, Peter and Grant providing a safe and well supervised environment, in which learning whilst having fun is always at the top of the list.

Been coming here on and off for years. I’ve trained at a few gyms in the city and find this one has the best balance of taking the martial art seriously without being too serious / intimidating for newcomers. Made some good friends here and learned a lot!

I am massively impressed with this club and its instructors. We are new to the area but not new to martial arts clubs, we’ve moved around a lot.I have three kids enrolled all at different levels including, one switched on boy that needs challenge, a daughter that talks too much in class and a boy that’s very shy to get involved and the coaches have met their needs appropriately and enthusiastically in all cases.The atmosphere encouraged me to get back on the mat after a long lay off and I wasn’t disappointed. Great coaching, great training partners. It’s always daunting going to a new gym and already having a blue belt is sometimes seen as a target but that wasn’t my experience here. Great tough but controlled rolls, students represent the instructors. I’m looking forward to continuing my journey here.
