I chose Schmidt kitchens in St Albans after a lot of shopping around. The kitchens are unquestionably beautiful, but it was the service that swung decision. The kitchen was completed earlier this year, so I have had nine months living and working with the kitchen. It’s design has made it fabulously easy to work in and that is testament to the time spent with all of the team who offered their expertise, advice, opinions ( and a lot of patience) to have made it work so well.The fitters were fabulous. I could not recommend the SCHMIDT brand highly enough as well as the St Albans SCHMIDT franchise. After 22 years of use, my kitchen still looks good and SCHMIDT's 25 year warranty for drawers, pull-out elements and hinges is genuine. A few years ago, they provided me free of charge with soft close drawer runners and just recently with cupboard hinges. I would also like to mention the first class service provided by Monish in St Albans concerning the hinges. He contacted me several times to keep me informed of what was happening and kindly posted them to me on receiving them from the factory, also free of charge. I could not have asked for more. Thank you.

We ended up buying a whole kitchen (lol) as we were so impressed with the quality of the kitchen. There is a lot of uncertainty in the kitchen market these days, with so many clients losing their deposits after being presented with a price too good to be true, only to find out the kitchen company has filed for insolvency or no where to be found! Excellent service from Schmidt for our kitchen from design to installation. Monish was brilliant, very attentive and detail-oriented. He helped us throughout the entire planning and design process and even after with the kitchen fitting. He was able to guide us in the right direction and advise us on what would work best for our kitchen, even if what we wanted wasn’t practical in the long run he was able to offer alternatives that worked better. Monish even measured the height of the jars in my cupboard to ensure the new unit would fit them all! So glad I chose to do my kitchen with Schmidt. Definitely recommend their services which ensures the stress of a new kitchen is made that much easier.

We used to have a Schmidt kitchen and really enjoyed the quality. So when we renovated the house last year, we wanted to have Schmidt again and recycle some of our old cabinets.Haydar, Michael and the team in the shop were very helpful and proposed a few different layouts. They also measured everything to make sure we can recycle our old cabinets to save cost.It was a long project for over 9 months and they coordinated with our builders, architects and and site manager throughout.Fitting had a few minor alignment issues, but they quickly came back to fix them. Overall a very positive experience, and we'd recommend St Albans store team!

Still at design phase but after checking out several places in and around St Albans, getting quotes and initial plans from 5, we plumped for Schmidt and are glad we did. We fed in a lot of different requirements & ideas for a reasonable size kitchen+pantry+appliances, as part of a blank canvass complete house refurb. Paul @ Schmidt was easily the best of the people we worked through the initial design and quote with. Then taking another look at all the requirements, feedback on initial design, and then working through options, re-designs, more options, changes of colour etc. quite a few times before ending up at the finished design. Importantly he challenged and offered his own ideas, thoughts and experience. He made himself available outside of normal hours several times for extended sessions to work through it all.

Michael came up with a design that maximised the space and innovative solutions to a number of problems we had.Coordinating the installation with the builders was a challenge due to manufacturing delays, but they did their best to flex the date to avoid storage fees.There were some minor issues post installation, but Haydar assisted in resolving them all rapidly at no additional cost.I have no reservations recommending Schmidt kitchens.
