Ryan offered a bass fishing trip on Lake Chatuge for us since the weather had eliminated our trout fly fishing trip. Me and my grandsons had a terrific time and caught 17 bass between us. Ryan was friendly, professional, and most of all craftsman of fishing! Highly recommend Cross Rivers!

Forrest was an awesome guide, local guy that has been on the water a long time. I mainly have fished inshore and off, rarely on fly. Very instructional and puts you right on the action. Had an awesome time!

We had the best time fly fishing with Forest and Jordan! It was our first time (2 adults, one college student and a 15 year old) and they taught us a lot about the area, made it fun and showed us lots of tips to help us catch and release several trout each! I highly recommend Forrest Johnston, whether you’re new to fly fishing or have years of experience. We spent the day Euro-nymphing, which I hadn’t done in a few years, and Forrest did a great job helping me brush up on my technique. Fishing with 3-weight rods and long leaders can seem intimidating, but he’s an excellent coach who explains the “why” behind the method and makes it easy to learn.After fishing public water earlier in the week, it was a real treat to spend the day on private water. The trip was well organized, productive, and a lot of fun. Forrest is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely enjoys helping people become better anglers. I’d gladly book another trip with him and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great day on the water.
