(UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE BELOW)I was a member here for 7 months. The workouts were decent at first, but the business practices are very questionable.I signed up for the AsherMed tirzepatide + nutrition coaching package. After having severe side effects (constant nausea, heartburn, fatigue, inability to focus, and bad constipation) from the B12 compounded version (which is not FDA-approved), I canceled in writing. Despite my cancellation, the owner charged me over $900 total for the subscription. When I brought up my side effects, I was told it was because I wasn’t eating enough instead of getting real support. I was also publicly called out in class for being only 6 minutes late, even though lateness is very common and I didn’t miss the warm-up. The owner then guilt-tripped me about a “half off” discount and claimed I owed money for a 3-month subscription I never signed a contract for.If you’re looking for a gym without high-pressure sales tactics and shady billing, I’d recommend going somewhere else. There are much better options in the Arlington area.RESPONSE TO OWNERChad, I appreciate you responding publicly. For the record: I canceled both my gym membership and AsherMed subscription in writing and effective immediately on multiple occasions. You then charged my card anyway for the remaining balance. I never signed any contract for a 3-month term, and when I asked you for proof of one, you refused to provide it.The subscription was sold to me as a bundle that included both the medication and nutrition coaching. I did not receive the full coaching services. I also experienced severe side effects from the compounded B12 shots.I’m more than happy for you to share the full text conversations — they clearly show my cancellation requests and your refusal to honor them. Thanks!!!
