This is Dr AJ delaHoussaye, an ophthalmologist from Houma. I have had an awesome server backup system that kept my data protected perfectly for 20 years and I never had a problem. That all changed this past week. The malware the hackers use is ultra sophisticated now and uses artificial intelligence to find vulnerabilities, and then they exploits them. Acadiana network systems, in the past, did not provide my security and unfortunately, we were successfully hacked and our data is now gone. They successfully attacked our backup systems as well, which was impossible in the past, but now is all too real. The cost to my company has been astounding. Before I would’ve never conceived that this could happen in America. Theses hackers are from Russia and there’s no ability to seek justice on these evil folks from other countries that have no extradition laws. To all fellow entrepreneurs, I highly recommend that you employ some type of cyber security strategy because the scenario that I’m living through now makes going through hurricane Ida and Covid seem like a cakewalk. Protect yourself before it’s too late.
