Whole staff (manager, owner, and instructors) is very nice and accommodating. Jonathan in Northridge location is awesome for my son’s guitar lesson. He is patient and has his unique ways of teaching him, based on the need. He is also a good communicator and gives feedback. My son had his first stage performance under Music Lab and he looks forward to the next one.

I've been a student at Music Lab for three years, and to say it has been a rewarding experience would be an understatement. The teachers genuinely care about the students, providing guidance and support throughout their musical journey, whether the student is a beginner or an experienced musician. The studio setups are really nice and as a drummer all the kits sound good and are great to practice on. You won't go wrong by sending your kid here.

My kids both attended this school for piano and drumming and both have grown so much throughout the 2 years there. The teachers are amazing the staff as well and what I like most is they are very quick to respond to any emails text or calls always understanding and there to assist. Though my time there was short i highly recommend this music school.

Chris Sacha is amazing! He has been our son’s flute instructor for a bit over 1 year now. In the meantime, our son was accepted at Colburn School in DTLA, while performing recitals and wind ensemble events. They have a great connection and we couldn’t be any happier! He’s just a great teacher and overall person!

This is absolutely the BEST school in town. If I had to recommend someone a place to start learning music there is literally no where else I would say; MUSIC LAB IS THE BEST! I have tried so many other schools but no one else has the enthusiasm and care for me like they do. Don’t waste your time anywhere else I promise you this is the best choice for you or your child!

It has been almost five months since my daughter started taking lessons here, and she has come such a long way. She was a complete beginner, but now she can play the guitar with confidence. Her instructor, Jonathan, is very dedicated, friendly, and a wonderful teacher. The owner is also very helpful and flexible, especially when we need to make last-minute schedule changes. We are really looking forward to seeing her continued progress!

I was looking for a piano teacher for my 7-year-old son, and Bethy has been by far the best. She teaches with incredible patience and a great method, covering both the practical and theoretical sides of piano. She’s wonderful with kids, I highly recommend her.

Music Lab is great. Hailey, one of their violin teachers, helped my daughter prepare for the audition for Camerata Strings at CSUN Youth Orchestra. My daughter was accepted into the orchestra after about 18 months of lessons. My daughter also takes piano lessons and my son takes guitar lesson from Jonathan. Jonathan is amazing. He is very patient with the kids and always challenges them to strive for more. They love learning new pieces for the recital.

My son (age 5) is a few months into his piano lessons with Jonathan at Music Lab Northridge, and I can say i've already seen a great improvement in his skills and his love for learning piano! He was previously taking lessons at a different music school, but we wanted to look for other options due to his instructor's constant rescheduling. We love Jonathans dedication and the structure he provides! He's also very supportive in validating my son's strengths and musical abilities, and following up after each lesson with what they went over and how I can help my son practice until their next lesson.Sergey (the owner) as well a woman (sorry, i'm not sure of her name), have always been very helpful and kind! Overall our experience there has been wonderful! The scheduling and payment system has been flawless, as well as their communication for reminders, important information, and upcoming events. I really appreciate how organized, positive, and passionate they are. If you're in the area and looking for a music school Then I highly recommend starting here, you wont be disappointed!

My daughter has been taking vocal lessons at Music Lab Northridge for over a year, and we absolutely love it! The entire staff is warm, professional, and genuinely invested in their students’ growth. Her vocal coach, Wendy, is incredibly talented, patient, and kind — she has such a gift for connecting with her students and helping them find their voice. Wendy specializes in musical theater and has truly helped my daughter gain confidence and improve her singing technique in such a supportive, inspiring way.The owner, Sergey, is wonderful as well — always responsive, organized, and so involved in the community. You can really tell he cares about both the students and the local families. We recommend Music Lab Northridge to everyone we know — it’s been such a positive, enriching experience, and we couldn’t be happier!

We’ve had a wonderful experience with drum lessons here. Thumbs up to all the teachers we’ve met, including the occasional substitutes—everyone has been great. When we started, we knew nothing about drums, but now we can play a variety of rhythms and recognize different styles. Jason, who teaches both my daughter and me, has been especially fantastic. He is an excellent drummer with knowledge of many techniques. By listening to what we play, he’s always able to point out where we should focus and how we can improve.I also really enjoy the annual showcase that Music Lab holds. It’s always at a great venue with excellent sound equipment, which makes performing and listening a wonderful experience.Highly recommend these lessons for anyone wanting to learn drums!

I had a great experience taking lessons with Music Lab! My instructor, Wendy, was extremely talented with great technical knowledge. I decided to switch from piano to voice lessons a month or so in and the process was seamless. I found the pricing very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

Music Lab has been amazing for my 4 year old son. He LOVES music, loves playing the ukelele, and Hailey has been nothing but incredible at nurturing his passions. The Lab as a whole has nothing but friendly and kind people working it and you can easily see how much passion they have for what they do. If you're thinking about it but not sure, definitely give their free consultation class a try! You'll be happy you did :)

My daughter is in musical theater and has been taking voice lessons with Ms Wendy for almost a year now. During that time I’ve seen SUCH an improvement in her skills - she even landed the lead roll in her school play!Everyone has always been SO sweet and welcoming. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. We’ve been to other schools where we haven’t had the same experience, so we are very grateful. They are also the least expensive, which makes it even better!!

Avoid this business at all costs. Here's why:I was searching for a violin class for my daughter and, based on online reviews, signed up for a trial session. Monica mentioned their current instructor and a new one they were hiring. We opted for the existing instructor. The owner canceled the trial and rescheduled it for the following week in August. A few weeks later in September, one day we showed up only to find the instructor absent without prior notice. They promised to add 15 minutes to the first two October sessions to make up for the missed one. When we arrived for the first October session, the doors were locked and no one was there. After waiting, they informed us over the phone that the instructor had suddenly quit and claimed to have called us—this wasn’t true. We received an email just 45 minutes before the class. We requested a refund for the month of October and the missed September session, which they agreed to. But 2 weeks later, there was no refund and they stopped responding to our emails and calls. We ignored many negative signs from the start.Save yourself the hassle and find a reliable music class with professional instructors.
