We went to the Wild Boar Lounge for Sunday Lunch.Food was fine, nothing exceptional. Certainly red hot. What we didn't get is the insistence to provide a tiny size dinner plate, need to tower the food up in the centre and then there be absolutely no way any sane customer could possibly eat it without it falling all off the edge and onto the table. The Sunday lunch also came with an addition of cauliflower cheese and jug of gravy. Sadly, due to the plate sizing none of us were able to wet the rather dry yorkshire puddings with lashing of gravy. As with many places this year, once the food came out the table was harassed by several flies. Nothing the restaurant can do though - just one of those things. We only saw one poor chap running around serving in the lounge and another behind the bar. Which for a Sunday lunch service felt a little odd. That said we would probably go back as it is one of the few places locally we can all get to without issue of parking.
