I have a quick shout out to Yarstick, great service. The owner personally came out to our home and on Sunday to boot. He was so kind and so knowledgeable. What was really great he was not pushy nor was he trying to upsell us. In fact just the opposite, he ultimately suggested a far more economical alternative. Hands down the best home service experience I've had. The prices were fair, the product high quality, and the service expectational. The sales consultation was handled by Andrew and the owner, Jack, came once the final contract was nailed down. They were respectful, detail oriented and knowledgeable.We ended up going with Hunter Douglas shades and the product was delivered within a couple weeks of order. Andrew himself came and did the install within a couple hours. The company delivered on time, and the results are aesthetically pleasing.I would recommend Yardstick to anyone who wants to upgrade their window treatment.

Our project was a little different and required access to the manufactures that could provide a 22 ft. and 12 ft. electric exterior roller shade with wind and sun control. Jack Alter is hands down the best shades and window treatment guy out there. His business, The Yardstick knows their business inside and out. I was so impressed with their quick and efficient communication, turn around time, and follow through. My new shades look fantastic! I had previously tried to go through another company who tried to up-sell me on a product I didn't want or need and they kept me hanging for weeks. I needed to get my shade fixed and keep the same color. I contacted Jack and he immediately knew who to contact to get my product fixed at no cost to me! He was an absolute life-saver. I have previously worked with the Costco window treatment company and I was not thrilled. The Yardstick is by far the best company to get the job done at the best price. This will be the only company I go to from now on for all of my window treatment needs!

Last year we went looking for finishing ideas for our home remodel. We stopped at another house that our contractor was finishing up and met Jack from Yardstick who was installing new blinds in the house. His work looked really good and he was a super nice guy, so when we neared the end of our project, we asked him to come over and see what he could do for us. He brought several ideas and examples with him and helped us finalize our blinds plan. He took measurements and a few weeks later they came out and installed the blinds throughout our house and we were very pleased.Fast forward to a week or two ago. Our crazy dog chewed through a couple of blind slats and broke the string. I called up the Yardstick, figuring it would be a while before this problem got resolved.Boy, was I wrong. Jack said he was going to be in the area that day and would come by and pick up the blinds, ship and get them in for repair. We are quite pleased with that kind of response. In fact yesterday we received notice that our blinds were done and were being shipped back to us. All in all an excellent experience.Needless to say, we highly recommend the Yardstick for all window treatments.

Yep - 5 stars for The Yardstick and Jack! No pressure sales (you only called him because you want shades or blinds). He brought a lot of choices to the home to review which you could easily place against the wall to see if the colors / contrast were what one wants.Saturday appointment was very convenient for me and the meeting certainly was not rushed as Jack answered a plethora of questions to help narrow down my choices and make a selection I have been delighted with ever since they shades have been installed.

We called multiple vendors and felt most comfortable with Jack, his guidance, and selection of patterns.The showroom is brought to you so you can place swatches next to the actual paint on the wall, easy to compare / contrast with major furniture / rug in the room, etc.Very happy with our choice to use the Yardstick - we had three different vendors come to provide bids and installation.
