I had the best time here on a date night! The place felt so cozy and the live music made the night feel really special. Our server Dylan was so kind and knew the menu really well. She helped us choose everything and made us feel really at home the whole time.We started with the baked brie with apples which was warm and so good, and I got the white pizza with blackened chicken that I loved. For dessert we had crème brûlée and it was the perfect ending. Everything was delicious and the whole night just felt like such a treat. I can’t wait to come back again

What a great spot! First time diner. The layout is really cool with a nice sized bar area on one side and dining room on the other…the food was fantastic and our server Michael added to all of it in a positive way! Great specials including 2 additional seafood options and a diverse menu including multiple small bites if you just want a tapas type of experience. The shortrib and house pasta specialty with added shrimp was delicious. Will absolutely return!

My partner and I came to the Cardinal for our Valentine's Day reservations. It was hard to notice amongst the other stores, but we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was romantic and intimate with beautiful paintings on the walls. Our server Michael was passionate about his job and very kind and contributed to our wonderful dinner. The app was Brie with seasoned apples and it was so creamy and flavorful! I had the short rib and my partner had the Ribeye. From someone who loves ordering a good steak, it was the best steak they've ever had. The steak sauce was house made and jammy, cooked to perfect temp (medium rare) and my short rib was so tender and the spinach and smooth mashed potatoes compliment it so good I basically inhaled it! The dessert was peach and cranberry fruit cobbler with ice cream and it was tart but sweet, with a hint of salty and my gosh! If you want somewhere romantic, with some of the best food in wilmington look no further! It's unassuming on the outside, but so SO worth it!Thank you Michael for being our server!

I live very close by and had many opportunities to try a bunch of things on the menu. My family is very picky and usually get our pizza at Mellow Mushroom. So when we get pizza here it’s pretty good. The meatballs here pair so well with the pizza.I was craving steak and I usually get steak at a steakhouse but I took the gamble here because I was tired from work and didn’t want to go out of my way. I got the ribeye and the owner Russell? made sure the cooks got my medium rare perfect. I’ve never had salsa with my steaks and it was an odd combo but I wasn’t complaining because it was very good and rich in taste. Also the mash potatoes was really good.

Dinner and service here were both great. The highlight of the visit was the musician playing the piano and singing. He was outstanding and worth going just to hear - as high a caliber as you will find in any establishment in Wilmington. He is there every Saturday evening.

My wife and I had a date night and we tried this place for the first time. Food was great and friendly service! I had the salmon dish with sautéed spinach and it was very tasty with great flavor!
