Using my husbands gmail account to leave my massively appreciative review.
Having had my child in 2001, and being conscious that young women I knew had suffered prolapses and other issues brought on after child birth, I didn’t want to be one of them. I would regularly concentrate on my pelvic floor, tensioning to at least keep some muscle there and hopefully stop any issues occurring.
I was never a gym bunny but started training in 2015 after being guilted into it. It was fun and I found myself being pushed to do a bit more. But despite the relatively healthy diet and huge amount of core work we did, in 2023 I became quite bloated over a few months.
And one other problem caused me enough concern to go to the doctor. That was just my intense bad back issues. Every morning I would have to build myself up to get out of bed, and the whole day was pain, until it would gradually ease…. before we’d start again the next day.
I spoke to the doctor about the bloating ant the same consultation and he identified the cause as diastasis recti. The only solution offered to me was surgery.
A little research led me to UK Hypopressives, and what a find!
I booked a meeting with Nikki and found her knowledge to be superb and her advice was simple to follow.
I had a clear 3cm separation in my stomach wall and all my previous gym core work was actually working against me.
So, in June 2024 I started the program she gave me and dropped the gym core sessions to do my Hypopressives homework instead. Within 3 months my separation was down to approximately 0.5cm, the bloating had severely reduced, but one of the biggest bonuses….my back pain had almost gone.
I often find myself concentrating on breathing and tensioning throughout the day, but this does not impact on my lifestyle. I fit it in to my day when it suits.
I am so happy with the benefits (and that invasive surgery was not the answer, despite being advised this by a medical professional).
If you’re thinking of it, just give it a try. You may get results quicker than me. You might not. But if it helps you with your own awareness of pain, posture, movement…..why would you not?
Nikki and Rich have been amazingly helpful throughout and I’m so grateful for all of your guidance.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you.

I recently did the level 1 training day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nikki is a wonderful teacher and answered all our questions. There was a good balance of theory, practising teaching and doing hypopressives. So I felt confident to practise on my own and am excited to learn more.

I found Nikki and Uk Hypopressives a couple of years ago when I was feeling pretty low and frustrated with the traditional pelvic floor exercises not seeming to help and actually making symptoms worse.
Nikki explained everything thoroughly and encouraged me and has always been incredibly supportive. Hypopressives helped me mentally and physically, made me feel I had taken control back and continue to be a regular part of day. I’m so glad I found Nikki and wish I’d known about Hypopressives years ago!

Nikki is an amazing trainer and hypopressives teacher. Before I joined Nikki's class I practised hypopressives for about 2 years without having a great result to my pelvic floor issue. I thought that those type of exercise doesn't agree with me but knowing how many women benefit from it wanted to give it another chance. I joined Nikki's zoom classes 6 months ago stating from "beginners" despite my previous experience. Nikki led me step by step in each posture, explaining every detail of the posture and muscle activation. Just after a first class with Nikki, I knew how many mistakes I was making before, what explains my poor results. In addition Nikki works towards progress with the students and her aim is not just to simply teach the hypopressives flow but to actually train the body, going forward, get stronger, improve health, heal the body. In addition Nikki is very knowledgeable and passionate about her teaching. The best hypopressives trainer.
