I had my hair done last Saturday. The whole experience was fantastic! From the smaller salon, quieter atmosphere, nice music, I even loved the coffee cups! The service and care given was amazing I felt quite pampered! All of the ladies were great. Three of you all did a great job. The girl that put my colour on was so gentle I hardly felt my hair being touched. Coming from someone who usually leaves the salon with a headache this was a joy ! Love my hair and colour. I will be back 💕

Amazing all the way through!! Jasmine took the time to thoroughly inspect me hair as well as listen to all of my concerns and wants, asking thoughtful questions to gain extra clarity which I appreciated. She answered all the questions I had in such an informative way, and when she was done, the head stylist checked my haircut and made sure to touch it up. My hair was washed and Jasmine went through the whole process of what products were used and how to use them. My hair was then dried and styled with such time and care. I was also given practical instructions on how to style my hair at home and what products to use with no overselling. Overall genuinely such an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back here, between the stunning results and the friendly and caring vibe, I couldn't recommend a place more.

I was originally nervous about this first appointment since I've never been to a hairdresser specialising in curls before, but the ladies here made me feel completely safe and at ease. Jasmine did an exceptional job at cutting my hair—she took the time to explain the process of the appointment to me, answer all of my questions about taking care of my hair, and listen intently to what I wanted my hair to look like. Jasmine regularly checked in with me throughout the appointment to see if I was comfortable and even offered me water or tea. The hydration was incredibly relaxing and refreshing; I almost fell asleep! I definitely feel as though I got my money's worth out of this appointment, and I left the salon with the widest smile on my face! This appointment left my hair feeling healthy and me feeling unbelievably confident and beautiful. You can tell that the ladies at this salon are passionate about what they do because it shines through their utter professionalism and kindness. I had such an amazing experience getting my my first ever curly hair cut at Shades of Curls. Not only was it a gorgeous salon but the staff treated me amazingly.I was quite nervous going in not only because it was my first time having a professional haircut but also because I was a guy.I had Kat first who did an amazing job cutting my hair into a style that I loved and answering all of my questions, there were a lot of them. She helped me understand how my hair falls and helped clarify any misinformation I had learned.I then had Aaliyah wash my hair and explain to me in detail the best way to do each step and well as help me understand different products and washing processes.All in all I had such a good experience and will 100% be going back in the future.

Best curly haircut I’ve ever had!!!! Valentina and Jasmine completely understood all the issues I had with my hair and my previous haircut and honestly transformed it. I loved the attention to detail and how carefully everything was checked and adjusted throughout the appointment. My curls finally have shape again and I’m so excited to style and wear my hair curly confidently. This was my first time going to a curly hair salon so I was super nervous — but this was the best experience I’ve ever had at any hairdresser. Please forgive me if I’ve misremembered the names, but kathrina had great professionalism and made the whole appointment run so smoothly and really taught me well how to diffuse and dry my hair. Aalyaa was so insightful and really helped me with washing and styling my hair — she walked me through how much of what products to use when and where to put them, but also most importantly why each product is used the way it is! She walked me through the whole process from washing my hair to styling it with a brush, showing me each step and educating me the whole way. I now know how to really take care of my hair and wear it proudly. This salon is great, even down to the meaningful conversations about embracing your natural hair, self-expression and life while they did my hair. I hope whoever needs guidance on their natural hair or even just a trim finds this and knows how fantastic they are at what they do!! I left feeling so happy.
