I took my cat to COVE with saddle thrombus. It was midnight and he was in pain. I got lost and had to call them on the way, the Vet was waiting on me and took him back immediately. They were very kind to both Chester and myself. The Vet explained everything to me but the prognosis was not good. He was euthanized. The staff was very caring and attentive. They called me to make sure I got home okay. The cost was very reasonable as well. They also set up the cremation provider. I am so fortunate that Delaware now has a great emergency vet. Less

The service is great! The doctor seemed really concerned. My Husky swallowed a double A Battery. And $4120 later we was done. They didn't check up to see how he was doing Less

Dr. Mathes, Dr. Reynolds and the entire staff at Cove are absolutely amazing! They have taken such great care of my Bones who has become quite a complicated case. The work and research Dr. Mathes put into Bones’ case to make sure he was getting the absolute best results is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. This place did a wonderful job yesterday. We found a stray cat that wasn't doing well. All the local places were closed so we drove 45 minutes to Cove and they helped us determine what was wrong (the kitty had a bad head injury, most likely hit) and helped the kitty pass comfortably and peacefully. Each employee was sweet and gentle with the kitty and us (I didn't stop crying). Even though it was a stray, they gave us every option and choice during the process as if he was our own, which meant so much to us. Thank you so much to all the staff that helped us through this difficult situation. Less

I loved the staff, explained everything perfectly. I loved that I could sit with my dog and not in the waiting room waiting for an update!! For a late night coming in i was very pleased with their care!! Less

Our sweet Goose… We went in knowing something was wrong. Our energetic bouncing off the walls dog wasn’t even wanting to move. I called cove immediately and they said to bring him on in. We got there and he had to be brought in by nurses. I was already in tears. I was immediately taken back to a room and they were on top of making sure he was given pain medication and got an xray. They were hands down the best for communication. The vet came in and he gave us the dreaded results that Gooses stomach had flipped.. surgery was possible but out of our budget and they recommended for Gooses health he be put to sleep. No one wants this news. They gave me all the time I needed. My husband came up and we said goodbye to our beloved dog. It’s been almost a week and we are still an emotional wreck. It was so unexpected. We received a card with a lock of fur and some paw prints from them. Cove is outstanding. The vet was amazing. The front desk was amazing and everyone in between. Goose will be forever missed. But I’m so grateful he is no longer in pain. Less

Our Brew dog had 2 visits to Cove after hours ER this week. Our experience both visits were exceptional. The entire staff was friendly, showed genuine care for my dog and were very educational with ensuring I understood the issues clearly. They understood that my dog was more comfortable with me nearby and did as much of his treatment as they could with me in the room. Dr. Brock is absolutely the best! We hope to never have to go back under these types of circumstances, but know that if we do, our dog will be given the best care possible. Thank you all for helping in so many ways! Less

Cove staff was very comforting and compassionate and treated my Tucker like he was their own. Had to put him down unfortunately but they were so caring and kind to me. I really appreciated them being so kind, understanding and sympathetic. Just got a card today from them also! I highly recommend them. ❤️ Less
