The front desk lady when we were there in the middle of the night was amazing and probably the best customer service, sweetest person I’ve seen in a while. That was very helpful in an extremely hard moment for me and my little guy during a rough time of seeing our four legged family member suffering. They had a ton of coffee and snacks. Which for the price of emergency vets, thats a nice thing to do to give back a little. I only give 4 stars instead of five because I basically learned, heartbreakingly that if your a broke single mom, or a normal person in this economy, be prepared to watch your pet suffer unless you have a lot of money in savings to spend. They of course offer the care credit and scratchpay thing, if you qualify for it. I would try that before going so you don’t have to go through what I went through of a slight panic attack, crying fest with the shock of learning you can’t get your loved one any help and have to watch them suffer only because you didn’t have $1000 to see what’s wrong. I feel bad too because I got a little grumpy, and was so pissed, not at this place but just at the insane fact of prices of emergency vets. Of course none of the low cost vets are emergency type where they’re open on the weekend, so I can only imagine how many precious pets have had to suffer and maybe die due to the insane prices. Having to watch the love of my life pet suffer and get worse over the whole weekend because I have to wait for the normal more affordable vegs to open, is not something I’d wish on anyone. So long story short, unless you’re a financial stable enough person to have a ton in savings or qualify for carecredit or scratchpay, avoid emergency vets and don’t make the mistake I did with believing the previous reviews on here that say it’s affordable. Is it cheaper than MedVet, yes. Affordable for the average person, heck no. It was $175 just for them to do the exam, which we all know means just glance over them for any obvious signs, which I can do at home myself. To actually run tests and just try to find out what’s going on was $1000+. So, long story short, amazing place if you can actually spend a pretty penny. Less

We’re so lucky to have COVE in Delaware! We’ve been here twice, once for illness and once because they were the only vet surgeon in Columbus who agreed with our normal vet that our dog’s spleen removal surgery couldn’t wait until Monday. And thank goodness they did, she wouldn’t have made it through the weekend otherwise. Both times, it was as wonderful of an experience as going to the emergency vet can possibly be. Everyone who works at COVE is so compassionate and kind, and the vets are very knowledgable and skilled. My girl wouldn’t be alive without them! Less
