Cove staff was very comforting and compassionate and treated my Tucker like he was their own. Had to put him down unfortunately but they were so caring and kind to me. I really appreciated them being so kind, understanding and sympathetic. Just got a card today from them also! I highly recommend them. ❤️ Less

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the excellent care we received today at the Cove Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Delaware. Although the outcome of our visit was not what we had hoped for, they treated us, and more importantly, Freddy with the utmost kindness and respect. The staff and veterinarian were all wonderful. They made sure to give us Freddy’s paw prints and a nose print. Although it was a bit jarring initially, they even put him in a very nice kitty body-bag for us to take him home and lay him to rest in. They gave us the option of cremation, but Freddy would have wanted to be outside, so we laid him to rest on a nice part of our property where he spent a lot of his time. ♥️ Less

They did what they could for her. They found a large tumor on her lung. They caught pancreatitis with Biscuit. They're all so great there and know what they're doing. The kindness they showed my dog Lexie, then Biscuit, ill never forget. Thank you . Less

I was compelled to seek immediate medical attention for my elderly lab at their facility in the early morning hours due to a medical emergency. Our cat Tinkerbell was not eating at all for about half a day. Then, in the early evening her breathing was very fast. We took her to Cove. Doctor Brock gave us all our options. And there were many. I did not feel compelled by them to choose one over another. It was my choice. It was determined that Tinkerbell had heart failure. The prognosis was poor. There was no pressure into choosing one option, over another. I could even take Tinkerbell home if I wanted to. The staff were compassionate and seemed concerned. Within 1 minute of bringing her in. She was taken back to be seen, by the triage nurse and the doctor . The price is the price.....when you go to an expert whether a mechanic, a doctor, accountant or anybody that specializes in a field and has taken schooling, expect to pay for their expertise. People never negotiate the price prior to surgery.... just please save my life........but when the bills start coming after the surgery that's when we sing a different tune. Less

On october 8 2022 i had to rush a family dog to cove for an emergency. The amazing staff were out at my car before i had it in park and quickly and safely got Molly out and into the building and began working on her immediately. The doctor came into the room with news she was in ketoacidosis from diabetes and while explaining her quality of life to me and my mother (who was on the phone)he did it showing so much compassion and care. Sadly the odds werent good so we decided to end her suffering and elected to humanely euthanize. They let me see Molly and stay with her during the transition. Im glad they had gotten her stable enough that when she saw me she lifted her head and wagged her tail and when it was time, helped her cross peacefully showered with love from myself and all the staff. I thanked everyone who assisted with us and gave them hugs. Definately will take my pets there for emergencies. THANK YOU COVE DOCTORS AND STAFF Less
