Strong pollo is the best! Their food is high quality and made with passion! Everything is hand made and super tastey! The owners are the kindest people.I love that they have gluten-free options. Makes a huge difference for people with gluten allergies to have choices. We have tried lots off their menu. We even hope to carry their products, at our coffee shop one day soon!

Exceeded my expectations, to say the least! My boyfriend introduced me to Strong Pollo, where I was welcomed right away by Leeanne and Ivan. Leeanne was so friendly and made me feel at home.I started with a sweetened lemonade that had such a distinct flavor, it reminded me of piloncillo Nicaraguense, that brown sugar with a molasses-like taste. It was a beautiful surprise and kept me refreshed in the 100° Florida heat.As a Cuban-Nicaraguan, it can be hard to find food that truly connects to my roots, but Strong Pollo did just that. I tried several arepas, and although they have a Venezuelan style, I was blown away. It felt like the Ratatouille scene where the critic takes a bite and suddenly flashes back to his childhood.The shredded chicken had a savory but slightly sweet flavor that reminded me of my aunt’s cooking. The picadillo tasted like the comforting meals my mom would make. The maduros were spot on, exactly what my family calls the perfect plantain. The pico de gallo balanced the flavors beautifully.The arepas themselves were incredible, thick yet light, crisp and fluffy all at once. I tried two sauces, a pink mayo-ketchup style and a creamy garlic one, both so familiar they reminded me of the sauces my dad always kept in the house.Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and what I thought would just be a snack actually carried me through the day without feeling heavy. Strong Pollo is a must-try if you’re looking for a taste of home or want to experience Latin food that truly hits the heart.

I went to the Hobe Sound Green Market with my girlfriend where Leeanne & Ivan were with their new mobile kitchen. The food was excellent, we bought the “Sampler” with a Chicken Arepa, Burger Arepa, Cheese Arepa, Plantain Arepa, and the Reina Pepiada. We also got their Arnold Palmers. The food was very flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken was moist, well seasoned, and tasted authentic, like someone’s Grandma made it. The Burger Arepa was definitely more contemporary, though still juicy, and puts a Big Mac to shame. Definitely worth stopping by if you see them while you’re out or want to try something new.
