UNPROFESSIONAL/UNDEPENDABLE My regular hairdresser was on vacation and I was supposed to be going away as well and needed my roots done. I made an appointment several days prior to the day I needed to have this done in order to go on vacation without gray hair. On that day, just 40 minutes before my appointment (it's about a 45 minute drive away), while driving to my appointment, my phone rang and a hair stylist who was not even the one scheduled to do my hair called. She told me they were running "a bit behind ". I assumed she meant about 15 minutes. She then told me it would be an hour later than my appointment! I could NOT do that . I was leaving the next morning and had worked before leaving for this appointment and had not packed and needed some last minute things for my trip. When I informed her I couldn't wait that long and asked why I was just being informed so close to my appointment time, I got no explanation other than "running a bit late". I was then put on hold, she came back and informed me she would "make it work ". I asked how, she replied; " I have my ways". I was so relieved. Then, 5 minutes later, my cell phone went off again and it was the owner, Leslie. She informed me that they could not provide the "quality of service " they usually do, therefore she told me my appointment was cancelled! I told her I needed my hair done for my vacation. She repeated they would not allow me to come in. Completely unprofessional and unreliable! If you need your hair done for any special reason, they cannot be counted on and they make NO APOLOGIES!

Lesley, Kim, and the entire staff at Salon 1827 are the best hidden gems in NH! I’m so thankful I don’t have to drive to Boston for Luxury Hair Extensions in a Luxury Salon. I had a unique situation when I first found Salon 1827 and was looking for extensions. I had lost about 95% of my hair due to autoimmune alopecia, from a recent Lupus diagnosis. This did not deter Lesley in the slightest; she welcomed me into her salon for our initial consult & offered me so many recommendations for different extension installs, preventive measures to protect my newly growing hair, and above all, hope! She was so optimistic and I couldn’t believe it when she said I had enough hair growth and was ready to schedule me for my first set of extensions. We started with tape-ins and now do hand tied wefts. Since installing the extensions, I don’t need to use heat tools as often & my natural hair is growing like a weed. We are looking into longer extensions, since my natural hair has caught up! Kim has also been fabulous to work with and is a jack of all trades. Even though she specializes in blondes, she graciously scheduled me in for maintenance appointments - when I am the farthest thing from blonde (dark brunette!) She also has experience with different types of extensions, and didn’t even bat an eye when I tasked her with my hand tied wefts. She understood the assignment & I left feeling like I had been a client of hers for years. If you are looking for a simple update to your look or a drastic makeover like I wanted, Salon 1827 will be able to help you obtain the hair of your dreams! They have given me so much more than just a hairstyle!

Lesley is the owner and has been doing my hair for years. She is a master colorist and knows how to work with thick hair. I've never been disappointed leaving the salon I even booked Lesley for my wedding and not only did she do my hair, but every one of my bridesmaids and my mom's. All of us have different hair types, lengths and textures. Lesley had absolutely no issues bringing out each individual style. Salon 1827 has many stylists and all are very skilled. Lesley hires the most talented people. If you can't get in to see Lesley, my next recommended stylist is definitely Kim. She is also great with color, thick hair, curls and has a gentle hand when waxing eyebrows. A very friendly, professional salon with great rates and talented staff. I recommend checking out this salon to everyone!

I can’t say enough good things about Salon 1827 and Lesley. The customer service was the best customer service I have EVER experienced. I got 24” tape in extensions and Lesley did the best job from the second I inquired to the time I left the salon with my beautiful new hair. If you are worried about getting extensions go to Lesley, she does more than just tape in extensions and is super thorough and answers all the questions you may have and explains everything so well. Below is my before and after and well, you can see for yourself it is simply amazing.

I went to Lesley, the owner, for a color cut and some highlights for some business headshots. I have curly hair and heard Salon 1827 is the place to go for curls and color! The experience was so professional and friendly from the time I booked my appointment online to the services themselves. I was greeted warmly and the salon was so clean and following all protocols. After a great consultation Lesley explained what to expect for my and I agreed that t was a good plan. She really listened and I love my hair! Her online scheduling and system is so easy! I'll definitely be back! Salon 1827 is highly recommended!

This salon is one of the worst salons I have been to. Leslie, the owner did my hair a number of times and every single time the color was wrong. Then when I missed one appointment to have it fixed I received a nasty email stating that they were canceling the rest of my pre-booked appointments. Do NOT go to this salon!

Sherri Westfall is the best hair dresser I have found in New England. If you live in the city she is worth the drive! I have spent hundreds of dollars elsewhere and have never gotten a better cut or color anywhere else in Boston. Five stars forever. Amazing talent and service

Not your average salon! Not stuffy and outdated! Very cool industrial feel but also cozy and beautiful. Free snacks, wi-fi and keurig! comfy couches (even throw blankets in case you need to nuzzle in for a while waiting for your new hair color to set in) Leslie is a master with hair color! All the stylists i have seen while in here are down to earth and it just feels like your hanging out with the girls! They are very attentive and will cater to any cut or color that you suggest. They really care that you're walking out the door LOVING how you look.

I've been a client for years and she just keeps getting better! Lesley is a master at her craft wether it's styling, color or anything in between. Professional, friendly and flexible. She is passionate about the quality of her work, how the client likes her work and it definitely shows! I booked her for my wedding so she did my hair, all of my bridesmaids hair and my mom's hair and in each of us was able to reflect our individual personalities and styles. Lesley works magic! I highly recommend her services to everyone!
