I adopted a reactive dog 2 years' ago (barking, lunging) and I was really struggling with my dog's reaction to people, dogs (especially!), tractors, motorcycles, cyclists etc. I became very worried I was making things worse, not better, and became worried he would start to react with cars too, which would make any road walking horrible.Fortunately, I came across John's posts on Facebook, showing incredibly helpful videos which enabled me to put into place patterns of behaviour to begin to calm Kai in difficult situations.I then subscribed to John's (extensive) online package of training videos etc. for further insights. These range from basic training to behavioural understanding and learning theory. And I started to understand. This information helped me ENORMOUSLY through very difficult times with my dog. I had been at my wits end: It helped me to feel more in control, improved my relationship with my dog and I saw light at the end of a dark tunnel as Kai began to walk beautifully and calmly in situations where, previously, he had been anxious, stiff and barky. Finally and recently, I travelled from our home in Stoke on Trent to meet with John for two "training" sessions over two days, to further my understanding of Kai's behaviour, and appropriate ways to respond in real life situations. To be honest, I can't thank John enough, for the help he has provided me via all these channels of support. His understanding of dog behaviour and learning theory is exceptional. All delivered using positive, kind and ethical training methods, scientifically based. This means I feel "good" about the methods I employ about helping my lovely dog, Kai.
