COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL, THOROUGH AND TRUSTWORTHY!I called Dunedin Eye Care for information and spoke with a nice southern lady who scheduled my appointment.On 10/14, I was pleasantly surprised to meet her at the office for my initial exam.She handled some of the diagnostic tests before I met Dr. Coates for the other screenings.Afterwards, I managed to walk to my car in the bright sunshine to retrieve my shades, then went shopping at Winn Dixie.Thank you to the team for a great experience!

It's clear that great care is taken to maintain a welcoming and comfortable space for patients.The staff deserves special recognition for their outstanding service. They are genuinely friendly and refreshingly not pushy when it comes to purchasing eyewear in the office, which I greatly appreciated. You never feel pressured to make purchases you're not comfortable with.I want to particularly highlight Taylor, one of the staff members, who went above and beyond to help coordinate a referral to an ophthalmologist when I needed a higher level of specialized care. Taylor's assistance in facilitating this transition was invaluable and demonstrated the team's commitment to comprehensive patient care.Overall, this practice combines clinical excellence with exceptional customer service. The combination of Dr. Coates' expertise, the pleasant office environment, and the supportive staff creates an ideal healthcare experience. I am beyond fortunate to have Dr. Coates as my Primary Eye Dr. She and her staff are absolutely amazing! Dr. Coates is kind, genuine and actually takes time and listens to you. Every question and concern I have had has been addressed. Dr. Coates doesn't treat you as "just a patient." She is extremely knowledgable and if something doesn't seem right she doesn't just let it go, she will look further into it until she is sure that any issue is corrected and that you are seeing the best that you can! Oh, she also has a great sense of humor! Cathy, Taylor and Kay are the absolute best team I have seen working together along with Dr. Coates. All of them are have very impressive backgrounds in the eye profession, are friendly and always smiling. They know you by name, return phone calls, and go above and beyond what I could have imagined. I couldn't ask for a better team of professionals. Thank you Dr. Coates, Cathy, Taylor and Kay for all you do! ADD: although it is difficult to notice from the outside, it is very neat and clean on the inside. Wide selection of glasses including beautiful sunglasses!

I really liked both The white haired older lady who greeted me as well as Dr Coates. She was very nice and did a very thorough exam and wrote me a prescription for progressives. I realized when I got home that the prescription didn’t have the PD (pupil distance). When I went back the next morning to get it some young brunette woman refused to measure it unless I ordered glasses from them. I find this poor business practice and when I asked her why she wouldn’t do it she failed to give me a reason answer( she said ‘we just don’t’ ). Measuring PD is simple enough to do especially when billing my health insurance hundreds for an eye exam.

I'm a new patient here. At first I was so nervous, I've never been to an optometrist so I didn't know what to expect. The whole exam was easy! I felt calm and safe. I just got my first glasses today and they're so cute.They made sure they fit and that they were right for me.I was so happy to finally see clearly before that I was living life with ok vision and as soon as I put my new glasses on at pick up wow BIG difference! Driving home was great then when I got home I looked at some things, watched tv and read.Everything was so clear it's all thanks to the ladies who made me feel comfortable and like family. They were so friendly and patient thats appriciated. Thank you so much for your kindness,patience and for making my first visit a breeze.I'm so glad I found you. For me I experienced my greatest office visit to any doctor I have seen in years. I am hearing disabled with a few other issues that sometimes cause great issues when doing anything. Visiting during pandemic along with masks make it just that much harder. DrCoates's and her staff really made me extremely comfortable, didnt rush anything and were polite and thorough.
