I called simply rooter to repair an emergency repair on a septic tank. they came out within hours to give me an estimate. i approved the estimate & they needed a 70% deposit to start the job ($9,700) repair. I paid them and they showed up the next day to complete the repairs. Before they even left my lot (i was not present) the office lady was already calling me for final payment. I asked her for photos of the repairs to verify everything was done. she emailed me the final bill with photos and honestly the work performed did not look like what was explained from the estimator. i asked her to have the estimator call me because the work did not look like what was discussed. The estimator Steven called me and immediately started going off before i couldn't even talk that he did all work we talked about. finally i could get a word in and had a bunch of questions because i have never done a septic repair before. once he answered all my questions I asked "you jetted all the lines and everything was good?" he responded with "oh not i forgot that part i will bring my pump truck tomorrow am (Monday) and jet the lines. after that conversation i did not expect to finish paying the last $3,000 till all the work was performed. minutes later the office lady was calling me again for final payment. another 2 phone calls within the same day to get final payment but all work was not done??? i did not pay her yet and monday morning rolls around and steven never showed up to jet the lines. after another conversation with steven he agreed to show up tuesday AM to jet the lines. he did show up tuesday am to jet the lines and he went over it with me that everything was good. this problem occured because we were replacing our driveway with new concrete and the septic tank was under it. they could not install the clean out heads until the concrete was done. Steven told me once the concrete was done he drives by our business all the time and he will stop in to install the clean out heads. everything seamed solid so i went ahead and finished paying the office lady. a week later our concrete was done so i called the office lady to check when he can come install them. she informed me Steven has been working for 3 weeks straight with no days off so she does not know when he can do it but it would be done within a week. I did not care what day it got done that week because we could not drive on the concrete for a week. friday rolls around and the heads were still not done, i reach out to the office lady again and she still did not know when he could finish the heads. I went head and called steven myself and he did not answer so i texted him and he responded with "he would do them on the weekend". saturday i could see on my cameras no one showed up to do the heads. i called steven sunday am (no answer) and i texted him how important it was for us to drive on our driveway monday am, he texted me back with they would be done today (on sunday). of course all sunday they never showed up and in the afternoon he would not answer my calls. Monday morning comes around and i hear nothing till 8:30 comes around and 2 dudes show up and cut our PVC pipes down so we can drive but no heads. Steven then texted me that some technicians were by to cut the pipes and he would be by later to install the heads. of course he does not show up were are now on tuesday night and they have not contacted me or the heads are still not done. i believe they do good work but i believe they customer services needs alot of improved me. I've been hearing some gurgling after we shut off the shower lately and decided to have it looked into. Searched online and found good reviews for Simply Rooter and gave them a call. They offered an earlier day for serving, but I needed it Friday on my day off. They were thankfully available. They did well with explaining the process and pricing. It was just too bad that my builder was cheap and didn't use risers. Thankfully, Simply Rooter was able to make it all an easy process. They dug up, cleared out my septic, and added risers for me. Shortly after speaking with them on the phone, I met Shane, one of the owners. I can't express how helpful and knowledgeable Shane was when he came to our property. He quickly identified issues with my septic and had solutions for my problems. They were able to get me on the schedule within 1 week of calling. My experience from start to finish was amazing. During their last day of work, my water heater went out, I just happened to ask Shane if he knew anything about water heaters. As per usual, our septic tank backs up into the house drains Saturday night at 5:30 pm. I called three or four companies and Simply Rooter & Septic was the only one who could come out same day to pump my full tank. Andrew was amazing. He shared so much knowledge with us and we decided to go with a full service on Monday. Every penny of what we paid for the pump out went toward the bill for the full service. They stand by their word. Due to the design and age of our tank, they had to finish the service on Tuesday, but they were here when they said they would be here and they completed the work as quoted. Shane and his son Shane Jr. Installed a new leech field about a year ago and at the time we were really happy. After 10 months that system started leeching up into the yard creating a wet spot. They did come back and make it right but I have a mixed bag of feelings over that. They are really poor at communicating and following through. We have more but we'll leave it there.
