I booked onto Jo’s eclipse event last minute, and I’m honestly SO glad I did. The eclipse itself was absolutely incredible and made an already special evening very magical. Definitely one of those experiences I’ll remember for a very long time 🌙✨Obviously, an eclipse like that is a very rare one-off, but everything Jo created around it is what made the whole evening so special and why I’d absolutely book onto another one of her events.I was a little apprehensive beforehand because of my mobility and wondered how much I’d actually be able to take part in, but I needn’t have worried. Jo was incredibly accommodating, made me feel completely at ease and made sure I could enjoy the experience just as much as everyone else. I even had help getting in and out of the lake, which meant I didn’t have to miss out on anything. And the setting… absolutely beautiful. 🥰 We spent time in the lake (you can bring your own paddleboard or flotation), enjoyed the sauna, meditation, reflection and intention setting, and learnt about and experienced the most gorgeous essential oils. I’m now slightly concerned I’m going to new obsession with essential oil’s shop as I want ALL of them 😂But one of the biggest things I’d say to anyone thinking about booking — especially if you’d be coming on your own — just do it.As you get older, sometimes your friends aren’t necessarily interested in all the same things you are, you might be single, or you might simply want to put yourself out there and meet new people. Events like this bring together people who are interested in the same things you are, and there was such a lovely, friendly atmosphere. You can just chill, relax, be yourself and connect with people without it feeling awkward or forced.Everyone was so welcoming. By the end of the night, another girl and I who were both there for the first time were already talking about potentially joining the retreat next year with people we’d only met a few hours earlier….I think that says everything about the environment Jo has created. We were there for around four and a half hours, (it ran over.. so just shows how much we were all having good time) so it was also incredible value for everything that was included. The eclipse may have been the once-in-a-lifetime backdrop to our evening, but the lake, sauna, meditation, essential oils, conversations, connection and atmosphere are what would make me come back.So if you’ve seen one of Jo’s future events and you’re hovering over that booking button wondering whether to go — book it. Even if you’re going alone. Step outside your comfort zone and give it a try. I genuinely think you’ll have an amazing time.Thank you Jo for such a special evening. I’ll definitely be back 💛
