I was hesitant about joining a crossfit gym because I'm a little older and not as strong as I used to be. However, I am so glad I joined Crossfit Tailwinds! Ive only been a member for about three months, but I already feel like part of a community. The coaches are amazing and make your goals their priority. The members there are super supportive and make you feel like your part of a special team. I love this gym and can't recommend it enough!

I was worried when I was just getting started about not knowing how to do any of the exercises or lifts let alone the proper technique. The trainers are amazing and took me through all the different lifts and how to do them properly privately before I started with the other members . Then once I joined the other members in the workout the trainer continued the training and coaching while recommending alternatives to things I wasn’t ready for and the correct weight to use just starting out. First few days are tough given the fact you are sore, but I got great advice and just kept showing up and let the trainer know what areas were sore and she helped me get through those tuff few days.As far as what’s changed in my life EVERYTHING! My energy level has never been better. My mental clarity and health are absolutely better in the best way possible. I have not only dropped a bunch of weight but have been even more motivated to eat healthier and make better lifestyle choices. I don’t know how I ever functioned without exercise and healthy lifestyle. I’ve only been a member for a few months but am extremely motivated to continue this journey with CrossFit tailwinds. Also just wanted to say how much I am truly grateful for all of Katie’s help and coaching she is truly amazing. I enjoy starting my day at 530am with her and the other members of this class they have all been amazing as well. What a great community!!

CrossFit always seemed a bit intimidating but I’m so glad I gave it a try at CrossFit Tailwinds. I’ve been going for almost six months now and I have no plans to stop. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, and motivate me to get better every class. No matter what the skill level of the athlete is, the workouts are always tailored to the individual to ensure you are working out safely but also pushing yourself. I would recommend this gym to anyone considering starting CrossFit or looking for a new affiliate.

After recently moving to Jacksonville, I needed a new community of people to help me feel more at home in a new city. Maggie, Katie, Eddy, Sam, Lee and all of the members of Tailwinds were very warm, welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The workouts are hard but fun. The equipment is plentiful and well cared for, and the atmosphere is incredible. I cannot recommend Tailwinds enough.

I have been a member since Tailwinds opened. My husband and I can’t imagine a better or more supportive Box to workout in. We are up in years and have built strength and endurance. We hope we continue as long as possible!

What a great box. Very welcoming personal and people. I was here in Jacksonville for a short time and was looking for a box to start getting back into shape. Search online and saw Tailwinds and dropped in. Was greeted with professionalism and caring staff member. Talk a while and decide to give this box a try. I have been at this box for just over a month and could not be more happy and satisfied with everything they offer. I have experienced all the CrossFit class and even worked with the chiropractor and nutrition staff right on site. This box is a great place and wish I was here longer. Drop by and talk with them and make this box your new home for CrossFit, I can promise you will not be disappointed. Love everything about Tailwind and the great staff as well as the family.

Absolutely perfect gym! I tried a few gyms around Jacksoville before finding Tailwinds. This gym checked every box for me. Great coaches, great space, great community, and an awesome attitude towards wholistic health. The staff here is comprised of mental health professionals and doctors who are incredibly knowledgeable. I came for the CrossFit, but I'm staying for the community.

Been coming to the state of the art facility of Cross-fit Tailwinds for the past few months, and I would recommend it to anyone. Its an all inclusive facility with mental health, nutritional, physical therapy, and chiropractic all available in one facility with the cross-fit gym. The coaches are both knowledgeable and friendly and more than capable of adapting each workout to your specific needs/abilities. 5/5 stars.

I’m relatively new, signed up in December ‘23 after taking a 6+ year “vacation” away from the gym. Christina the owner, all the coaches, and every member I have met have been nothing short of awesome! I can’t recommend CrossFit Tailwinds enough regardless of your age or athletic ability. They have a system in place that will make you feel right at home!

I’ve been a CrossFit cult member for a few years and have dropped into plenty of gyms since I travel for work. Here are my thoughts on this one: Gym: this place is unusually clean for a CrossFit gym. A lot of the equipment is either new or well kept, and there is plenty of equipment should a class be on the larger size. The gym is also quite large with a lot of open floor, making it easy to workout on your own even when a class is going on. That’s really valuable for someone who may be following a different programming or is just an over achiever. Coaching: I only worked with one coach, but she was a good mix of giving good tips but letting you move through your workout. I felt like I was given good pointers and stuff to think about for my form, but never felt over-coached. Culture: gym is easy going and has a community feel. The classes start right away, with a good, brief discussion of the workouts followed by warmups. It seems to be an easy place to make friends and hangout, but also make sure you burn some calories in the process. Intangibles: the gym is well lit, has open walls on multiple walls to allow good airflow and sunshine, is well ventilated, and does not smell! Extremely clean, high ceilings, and just a comfortable place to workout!
