We have a 1992 Ford Ranger and brought it to John. Every day he would call and give us a rundown on what parts needed to be changed. He explained every thing that needed to be done on the truck. Once we were ready to pick it up, he brought out all the old parts and explained to us what was wrong with them. We are so happy that we came to John. I have been to other mechanics and none of them come close to his expertise. I highly recommend Kanewske motors!

If your family values having a mechanic who is committed to diagnosing the right problem, and then only fixing that problem, John is your guy. We recently bought a used car for our son, only to have it literally lose power while driving. At that time, large chain auto shops were using words like “wire-harness replacement” and giving a quote in the thousands. We dropped it off to John, who said, “If I can repair it over replace it, I will.” Turns out a small ground wire was not connected correctly. Since then, John has taken care of us. If you’re in the area, our family would highly recommend.

My husband has a 1993 RX7 And absolutely loves it. It was hard for him to find a trustworthy mechanic to work on his second love, but he absolutely loves John. John did a lot of work on his car and has kept Gregg updated every step of the way. Gregg is very happy with everything John has done. I took my truck here after everyone else refused to work on it and John was super helpful over the phone and took it in and found so many things to make it run better and more efficient. He’s really really knowledgeable when it comes to these cars and he is absolutely a perfectionist. My truck hasn’t run this good since I bought it and maybe in its entire life. Had a blend door actuator go out in a difficult spot to access. John got our vehicle in short notice and replaced the actuator within a day, and also fixed a turn signal going out. Great guy and great service. Would recommend him to anyone needing help with their vehicle.

Had an issue with my mother-in-law’s Ford Escape A/C system and took it to John. Another shop had already “investigated” the problem and recommended replacing the blower motor.John took the time to properly diagnose the issue and found the real problem was a severely clogged cabin air filter. The fix was simple, and it saved me from buying an unnecessary blower motor that wouldn’t have solved the problem.Honest, knowledgeable, and thorough. I currently have another vehicle at his shop and will continue bringing him more work in the future. Highly recommend.

I cannot thank John enough for working on the A/C and identfying a noise coming from the driver side of a new addition to our home 70 Mustang Fastback. He is proficient and professional (Impossible to find when having classic cars worked on!) I can list at least 5 shops NOT to take your car to but only 1 I would recommend. We recently ran over something that shorted out some wires underneath the passenger tire area. We took our car to John and within a short time he diagnosed and repaired the short. He strongly advised that we bring it back to have the wires repaired,which we arranged to do while we were on vacation. If we had taken it to the dealer nit would have cost thousands..instead,we paid a few hundred and got an oil change as well! It is so good to know I have a skilled mechanic and one I can trust not to rip me off! Thanks,John!
