Before starting this course I knew I wanted to tattoo I just didn't know how to get into it, I spent alot of time learning to draw and following youtube and tiktoks for some kind of starting point, there were so many different opinions and advice that seemed to contradict eachother leaving me feeling clueless and confused.I then found Ben's course with structured lessons that were easy to follow and understand, every lesson Ben will show you what to do on the mats talking you through it in a calm and clear manner, with a voice you can listen to without getting fustrated. In just a few months I've learnt about different needle types and depth, linework, dotwork, shading and a ton of theory explaining why you do things in a certain way and order. You also get assessments which I think are a fantastic part of the course because you get feedback, guidence and encouragement on your modules.I failed my first assessment a few times due to being in a rush to get good and overthinking it, but after slowing down and following Bens feedback I started seeing results.You move through the course at your own pace so you can deal with whatever life throws at you at the same time as learning.Theres alot of hate around online tattoo courses , but I can honestly say this course is changing my life, giving me focous and actually seeing my dreams turn into reality, and knowing with time I'll be where I aim to be.The exciting part is this is just the very beginning, I'm now about to start the full TMP course and can not wait to see how much my work will improve.It really is just about having a good mentor, drill,drill and drill the lessons and keep a positive mind set, be patient and find discipline, oh and drink ALOT of yorkshire tea!A massive thank you to Ben Fisher for guiding me through my journey so farJenny 🙂

I’ve been doing this course since February, I started on a whim cause I wanted to take some kind of step forward with tattooing, I’m reaching the end of the course and it’s really rewarding finally being able to complete pieces I wouldn’t have imagined completing at the start, it does take a lot of self discipline and practicing the basics but it makes it so worth it at the end. Photos are of some of my first practice mats and one of my more recent ones. Doing lessons everyday definitely pays off.

About a year and a half ago, I embarked on Ben's adventure with the intention of pursuing a hobby after my busy day job as a retail assistant. I was 44 at the time, and without any drawing knowledge or background, I jumped in and took everything Ben suggested during the lessons literally. I have been using Tattoo Method Pro to learn to tattoo for a few months as of this review. It is very well structured to teach you how to tattoo going from never holding a machine or knowing anything about the practice, and I could even see it being useful for those who have already been tattooing for multiple reasons even if it’s just to become a better teacher yourself. Ben explains things like needle types, needle depth, voltage and hand speed, and proper angles early on. As you progress through the course you will learn different shading techniques and how to go about tattooing in many different styles. His videos are very fun and engaging as well as informative. If you can’t afford to work as an apprentice for free or low income for years to learn this trade then Ben Fisher’s Tattoo Method Pro is an amazing option and my only regret is not knowing about it sooner. I added some progress photos to show where I started to my current ability at the time of the review.
