I recently developed a sudden TMJ disorder out of the blue. I had never felt such intense, excruciating jaw pain in my life. I have been experiencing terrible heel pain for months now. I called this office up and they were able to see me within a few days. I have been dealing with debilitating chronic neck and back pain for the past three years. I have met with several other chiropractors, two orthopedic surgeons, a neurologist, a pain management doctor, and did twice weekly physical therapy for over a year. I have tried massage, acupuncture, Rolfing, Myofascial release, lidocaine injections, cervical traction, STEM and countless other at home remedies to relieve the pain. While the pain would temporarily improve, it never went away completely. Managing the pain was extremely time consuming and frustrating. Dr. Favro took a different approach. He spent a lot of time explaining, in detail, the anatomy and body mechanics that were contributing to my problem. He gave me a few simple exercises to do at home and helped me improve my posture. Understanding how to properly do the exercises, how to do adjust my posture and how all of the small details were connected made all the difference. His adjustments were also very effective! I have used chiropractors in the past with no results. I started with Dr. Favro early this year and I am so happy I did. I am 63 years old and very active. Now that my pregnancy is public knowledge I can FINALLY write this review! At just shy of 12 weeks pregnant I "pinched a nerve" in my back and had DEBILITATING pain immediately. I also ended up with severe muscle tension and it felt if I literally had a board nailed to my neck and back. I truly didnt have words to even describe the pain I was in. Being an RN I had a good idea of the course of action that would happen if I went to the ER and wanted to avoid that at all cost due to my pregnancy. I posted on fb asking for suggestions and a friend suggested Turning Point Chiropractic. After my mom had a bad experience with a chiropractor during my childhood I was SUPER skeptical but absolutely desperate. I called the next morning and they saw me an hour later. When I walked out of the office after that apt I could take a full deep breath without crying in pain for the first time. Dr Favro warned me the pain would likely return and boy oh boy did it. I was up the entire night and walked into my morning apt crying because I was in so much pain. But again, left with enough relief to keep me from the ER. At my first apt Dr Favro said "Im hoping if I see you every day until then, we will have you in good shape after your apt Friday." Friday morning I thought "Nope, no way." After my apt I went home and played in the sandbox with my toddlers, finally got some sound sleep, and was on the road to recovery! It was honestly remarkable. I dont have enough positive things to say about my experience. Even the woman who works at the front desk is super sweet! But Dr Favro has been downright amazing every step of the way. He was compassionate, empathetic, very knowledgeable, and strong yet gentle in his approach. With a science background I loved seeing all the different techniques he brought into my care such as cupping, stim treatment, massage, taping, stretching. You name it and he utilized it. My experience has been as I describe....Chiropractic with a touch of physical therapy, massage therapy, and sports medicine.
