We hired Freddy and his team for a local move from Longmont to Loveland. They were prompt and did a good job. However, I was a bit disappointed when it came to the payment which is the reason for 4 stars. First off, they did not let us know they only accepted cash or check. We did not have either on hand and had to scramble to go get a money order the next day and drive 40 minutes to drop it off at Freddy's residence the day after we moved and were buried in unpacking. If we would have known they didn't accept digital payments beforehand, we would have been more prepared. Secondly, they had quoted us $1700 for 8 hours which included a flat rate for gas and the truck. My partner specifically asked about any extra fees beforehand and they assured us if they got the services done quicker than 8 hours, that we would only be charged for the actual hours worked. I had my partner and a good friend also lifting and moving items so we could assure we could get it done quicker since we were on a tight budget after just buying a house. We also moved all the small things other than furniture and went back and forth for weeks to ensure the quickest possible move. When the invoice came at the end of the services, it took about 5 hours and 15 minutes of actual move time, Freddy rounded up an extra 45 minutes and also charged us an hour of travel time at $200 an hour. This was not disclosed to us beforehand. Our entire cost ended up being $1400. The math did not add up since our estimate was $1600 for 8 hours + $100 for the truck and fuel, and yet they only worked for 6:15 including travel time. We appreciate the job they did, however we do feel slightly taken advantage of because none of this was disclosed to us before. I questioned this, but regardless we paid what was asked of us. We had even taken out cash tips for each of the movers, but then found out the cost and felt we were overcharged with him rounding up the time, so we decided to not give the tips. Not any way to run a business if you'd like your hardworking employees to be tipped. We don't appreciate the rounding up when we could have just given cash tips as planned. Next time and for all our friends moving in the near future, we will look elsewhere. If you do decide to use this company, I'd recommend making sure you ask all the questions to understand how the pricing is invoiced after the fact.
