This place was amazing! We have heard good things about it, but we had to try it out for ourself! The people that work here are so sweet and have great customer service! My gf and I split the $20 lunch special and picked the bhaba chicken curry (which was a medium spice and perfect!), mango chutney (very sweet and yummy), and the vegetable vegetarian side. (It was amazing!). It would have been a lot of food for one and filled us up just enough splitting! (We weren’t starving though) 10/10!

Had a wonderful experience at Rivayat!I went with my family for a celebration, and they handled our large reservation with ease. As someone from Kerala, India, I was truly impressed by how authentic the food was, while still offering thoughtful, contemporary touches. They really did our culture justice. The service was excellent and very accommodating, even with a child in our group. The ambiance was beautiful and made the whole evening feel special.Highly recommend!

My wife and I visited for the first time last week, and we were amazed! The food and drinks were incredible, and the service was top notch! This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Charleston in years! We will definitely be back.

Delicious food! Great service! It was a bit loud in the restaurant, but our experience was very memorable. The oyster appetizer is a must!

Everyone here was so kind! I was a little stupid and ordered the wrong thing and they helped me get what I wanted after the food came out. I felt really bad but our server was very sweet. And everything was so yummy! It is a very beautiful and clean place as well.

Rivayat is one of those rare restaurants where every detail feels intentional. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, the service is exceptional, and the food is visually stunning with beautifully balanced flavors. The Sullivan’s fish was outstanding.

The restaurant was bustling... maybe a second bar tender would be helpful during these times.Otherwise, service was excellent. Tini was spot-on!The food was superb:Tandoori oysters were 5+/5!!!Shrimp with cream sauce, cashews, pistachios was excellent.Lamb curry very good.
