We always spend a lot of money to some fancy restaurants around Albany. And found this gem! After that, we become their member every week. We love their ‘Lamb platter’; ‘Fried fish platter’; ‘Smash burger’. Their food is incredible & the price is just so reasonable!!! First time trying this place today and it's amazing despite it's unfortunate location across from the Mission. Not to be an ass-- but I just wanted to try this new place, not get into a conversation with someone looking for something from me that I have little of. Got the lamb & chicken special. However, before I got in the door, I was accosted by a woman outside who hit me up for the only money I had in my wallet which was 5 bucks & also asked me to buy her a pack of cigarettes ($17?!?.... No...) So she asked for the last half of my cigarette which I thought was gross but gave her... but once I got inside, the inside is clean, the food is delicious and was made fast & the people are helpful and nice. I wish I tipped more instead of rounding up to the nearest dollar-- I guess I was still thinking of those last five dollars in my wallet. I fear they probably often suffer from a panhandler surcharge. Tip well when you go-- they'll take care of you! Just don't linger outside the store for any amount of time. I'll be back as often as I can. It looks like they have shakes now! A strawberry shake looked delicious and was topped with nerds... so, I'll be dreaming about it until my next visit. Less
