Best Chicken Over Rice in Albany?Unlike other McDonald’s standard halal places with precooked frozen meat that gets delivered to the stores and heated up on grill.Everything from Meat, Rice, Veggies, Sauces are homemade and Fresh.Best Platters for your money, cheaper in store then ordering online as online apps charge absurd fees and rob customer, drivers and restaurants.

Ok sooooo, I just found my new food spot when I'm in the area.I had the mix wrap, a smash burger and my son had the mix platter and those messy fries lol.EVERYTHING was fresh and flavorful.I'm allergic to literally everything and the rare occasion when I eat out, my stomach reacts lol.I enjoyed every bite.The portions are ample and I gave some to other people who also enjoyed it so, I'm spreading the word!!

BEST PLATTER PLACE IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT. honestly those other "Mr halal watervilet/Cohoes" whatever that other chain is... Disgusting. This place *doesn't* have rice that tastes like taco Bell or hard tiny little chunks of crappy meat. This place is actually delicious. The rice is soft and the steak fries that come with it are amazing. The lamb are good sized chunks and are soft and tender. I'll never order from another place again

Really good food with large portions at very reasonable prices. We needed a quick low cost but healthy food for 10 kids and 4 adults. Was pleasantly surprised by the taste and portion sizes.

We were driving through and looking for a quicker dinner than sit down but healthier than fast food, and decided to give this a try. We were both very happy with our orders! We got two different platters, both delicious and well portioned, at a good price point! The mild sauce was very flavorful, and the white sauce was delicious without any heat. The fries were hot and fresh. My only disappointment was that the semi recent photo of the menu showed baklava, but it's not on the menu now. But dinner was delicious! I've included a new photo of the menu- the smaller platters don't include fries. I highly recommend Downtown Platters!

I tried chicken and it was great. Should have got extra sauce to dip fries in.Overall out of five of the places I have tried in town this is by far the best flavor. The portion is perfect where you are filled but not overfilled.Can't wait to try fish the fish and the wraps and the burgers. Surprised there isn't a fish sandwich.

I ordered the lamb over rice for me and a chicken wrap for my husband. Lamb and rice were delicious. I normally get my LOR from a different spot but I'll go here from now on. I can't say how the wrap was because he hasn't eaten it yet.It was also very clean inside.
