This place is incredible. Finally an Authentic Real restaurant, not some national chain serving fake pre-made “food.” Service has been 5* every time I have been. Their onion rings are to die for. Their menu is enormous. And their cakes?? Next-level. They are certainly not made in a factory. Someone really has a passion for creating cakes that are works of art! Thank you City Cafe, you are a breath of fresh air in a stale corporate wannabe world.

I finally made it to City Cafe in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s conveniently located right next to a parking garage that was free on weekends. It is a bright and welcoming cafe with a fully loaded menu. They have hundreds of options that offer something for every palate. I like the Shepherds pie and the chicken stir fry. The portions are always generous so you have extra to take home. My favorite of all is seeing the beautiful cakes on display as you walk in. Like the food, the cakes are all delicious and served in generous portions. Order a slice to take home. You’ll be glad you did! After your meal, stroll down to the Tennessee Aquarium, visit the shops, or take the kids to the Creative Discovery Museum. All are in easy walking distance.

5 stars is not enough for this place. Food is amazing and so is the service. If you get a slice of cake ask about the size, enough to share.
