I really appreciated working with Matthew. He was a very clear communicator and took the time to thoroughly understand the vision of the product, not endeavoring to override it or change it. He really commits to his client's vision, which I really appreciate when other developers I've worked with have tried to change the direction of a project rather than implement the stakeholder's visions.
He was very nice to work with, a great communicator with regular Loom video updates, and his proposals were always very detailed and well researched.
I'm ending the contract because the project was completed successfully, and he is definitely first in line for any software development help that I need in the future. I'd highly recommend Matthew.

I have worked with hundreds of freelancers on Upwork -- and Matthew is as good as they get.
If you want the job done right, A to Z, from thinking through the specs up front at a much deeper level to ensure nothing is missed, to execution, to staying with the project afterwards to make sure the ultimate objectives are hit -- it is near-impossible to find a better freelancer.

One word: AMAZING
We've been on Upwork for many years, worked with dozens (hundreds?) of talented freelancers successfully but Matthew takes the very top spot.
Here's why:
His attention to detail; his communication skills; his taking initiative to keep the client updated on details; his transparency on potential 'gotchas' ahead of time; his commitment to the spirit of the agreement as opposed to the letter of the agreement -- these are what you'll get if you have the privilege of working with Matthew.
These are all on top of his A++ skills -- you need the job done right - and his professionalism.
The bottom line is that if you want the job done right, and if you have high expectations and little time or energy to waste -- I guarantee that you will not find a better option than Matthew.
