I met John at a business event and realised our solar panels were due for a clean. I also discovered that no one else in Australia was offering the same type of service, so we asked him to come and do our first clean.Now our panels are cleaned and protected with a nanocoating. For our 13.2 kWp system, the cost is $750 every two years. A standard clean would normally cost about $450 each year, with potential drops in production as the panels get dirty over time.With the nanocoating, the panels largely self-clean between visits, so we only need the service every two years. When you do the maths, it’s actually cheaper overall, and the panels may also produce more electricity.For us, it’s a win all around.

Hi, just had John from Nanotech Coating arrive to Clean and Protection Coat my Solar Panels (Qty 22 in total) early this morning as per our arranged appointment time.John was prunctual and professional as we discussed the evident poor state of some of my panels qty 6 of these having been on my roof for many many year and the dirt layer (lots of new housing estate developments surounding us so lots of wind bourn dust) and Lichen growing on the frames and panels, the big reason and concern to me, and the trigger that made me start searching for a company that not only offered a cleaning service but also some form of protective application to 'hopefully' reduce/delay the return of my problem.After doing my 'homework', Nanotech Coatings were my top pick and I'm pleased that I did. John not only used a gutter protection device to prevent damage to the guttered painted surface, but a securing device to stop unwanted ladder movement, then he was 'off and running' so to speak.During the cleaning process, especially on the older pannels, I was amazed at the layers of dirt, grime, and lichen clearly evident to be comming away and after all the panels had been cleaned by John, and allowing a short period to allow the panels to dry ( they seemed to be glowing and I could clearly see the inner layer of the 'generating circuit filaments in the pannels) he then applied the liquid Nanothec Coating Protection and I was even more impressed at how they looked (obviously I checked the power units meter for the pannels and have noticed an increase in output and will be able to confirm this over a longer time period).Regardless, great end result and I am glad I selected the 'Clean and Coating' by Nanotech Coatings Pty Ltd and I will be calling them again to redo the process closer to the end of the 2 year warranty period of the coating.Sorry for the long blurb, but I am impressed with the end result, and a big shout out to John for a great job...many thanks
