I needed a new AC/heat pump (outside unit plus attic unit, 3 ton system, for a 2 story house in Alb. county). I got three assessments/quotes from companies who sounded good based on reviews online (and they were all knowledgeable and honest). The best deal for what I needed was from David Ashcom H & C. And they were excellent all around.The two technicians (T.J. and Brian) who did the installing were highlyknowledgeable, conscientious, friendly, organized, neat, on time, and worked hard despite difficult conditions (including a very hot attic!). I’ll forever be grateful to them.And the technician (Michael) who originally came to assess/advise was impressively thorough and knowledgeable. And the coordinator (Chris) communicated excellently about visit times, cost, contract, and warranties. And Chris also visited in person during installation.I greatly appreciate David Ashcom's work. Yesterday June 8th Monday evening the AC would not come on...my husband called at 6:30 and left a message that it was out and to give him a call when he could....15 minutes later "MICHAEL " returned the call and said he would be here in 30 minutes....and he was. He determined it was an electrical short and unit would not come on and fixed it, but the fan motor would not come on and would have to order a new fan motor and install it when it came in. He left.....but came right back and said it could be the wire coming to the the fan motor that was causing it ....It was and fixed it! Been running ever since! A BIG THANK YOU TO " MICHEAL FROM MADISON" ( sorry didn't get your last name or meet you) for coming,for your great trouble shooting and knowledge, for you mind still working when you left,for coming back and checking it, and fixing it!!! I found that my AC was not working at 4:45 pm and by 5:30 TJ (the on-call tech) was at my house assessing the situation. He got it working very quickly and answered all of my questions. I have used David Ashcom for 13 years and have never been disappointed by their service or been left without heating or AC. I highly recommend that if you have any problems or issues with your HVAC system call them ASAP, you won't be disappointed.

We have a fairly new carrier system that wasn't cooling properly. I called Ashcomb and was told a tech was literally on my street and they could come by in the 1.5 hours-on a 93 degree day. Michael determined that the freon was low and after adding 4 pounds (thanks OEM installer) it brought the indoor temp and most importantly humidity down to what I set the thermostat at. Gonna set up maintenance to make sure the system stays heating and cooling properly. Thanks Michael for the HVAC lesson while you were working!

I needed to have a leak in my air conditioner repaired. I got an estimate ahead of time and the bill was exactly as estimated. The part came in on time and I was notified that I could schedule an appointment. The guy doing the scheduling was great and explained everything to me. He was not in any rush like most customer service folks. Kole came out to do the repair and did an excellent job. He was polite, on time, and very thorough. He was patient even thought the job was tedious and took all day. He explained everything he was doing. I was at work when he put the new part in so I asked him if I could see it when I got home. I didn't realize that he would need to take out a bunch of screws and he was still finishing up another part of the process, but he was happy to take out all the screws on the unit so that I could see the new part. I highly recommend Kole and David Ashcom in general. I have had nothing but good experiences with them.5/14/26: I wanted to comment on my latest service with David Ashcom. My air handler had become loose from its bracket and it needed to be reattached. It was also discovered at the same time that there was mold behind the air handler. This required the Ashcom group to coordinate services with another company that would complete the mold remediation. The office manager Chris was fantastic in coordinating the services so that all of the work took place seamlessly. He also suggested an ultraviolet air scrubber device that would help with my allergies. He was clear that he felt this item would be helpful to my health and that he would not suggest it to just sell another item to me. I decided to add this item to the install. The total job took 3 days. The air handler was removed and then reinstalled in a much more secure way. The technician Noah was meticulous in his work, spending all day and evening one day so that the work would be finished. Chris came by the next day to ensure that all the work was up to his standards- unheard of right! I continue to be extremely happy with this company.
