I first crossed paths with BVM Homes about eight or nine years ago, when I did a small job for them and dealt directly with Vince. It was a positive experience, and Vince left an impression on me that I still remember today.Recently, Vince’s son Ryan reached out to me, and we’ve had several conversations since. It’s been nice to reconnect with the business in a different way and get to know the next generation of the family. Ryan has been generous with his time and open about how they work. Our conversations have felt genuine, which I appreciate. One thing I keep coming back to is the family feel at BVM. With the kinds of projects they take on, that matters. A major renovation or custom home can mean having the same people involved in your life for many months, sometimes longer. You need to be able to talk openly with them, trust them with difficult decisions, and feel comfortable picking up the phone when something is on your mind.I can’t speak as a homeowner who has been through a full project with BVM. I can speak to my experience working with Vince years ago and getting to know Ryan now. Both have left me with a good feeling about the people behind the company. If you’re considering a project with BVM, I’d recommend having a chat with Ryan and getting to know him for yourself.

We recently had our basement completed by BVM and couldn’t be happier with the results. They helped us create a realistic budget, were transparent about costs, and kept the project on schedule—even while accommodating a few additions along the way. They also guided us through applying for a city subsidy, which was a huge help. The team was professional, reliable, and easy to work with. When the vanity we purchased turned out to be faulty, they quickly arranged a replacement through their supplier so the project stayed on track. We also had a few finishing touches to address at the end, and everything was taken care of promptly without hesitation. We highly recommend BVM to anyone looking for a contractor who delivers quality work, stands behind it, and genuinely cares about their clients.

We hired BVM to convert a newly purchased duplex into a single family dwelling. Vince and the team were professional and considerate especially given that we were also living in the house at the time of the renovation. We are very happy with the finished renovation and would definitely trust them again with future renovations on our home!

We had an outstanding experience working with BVM from start to finish. It’s rare to find a contractor who truly balances exceptional workmanship with clear, consistent communication — but that’s exactly what we got.The quality of the build speaks for itself. Every detail was handled with care, precision, and pride. You can tell they genuinely value craftsmanship and refuse to cut corners. Beyond the physical work, their efficiency was impressive — timelines were respected, processes were organized, and everything moved forward smoothly without unnecessary delays. What really sets them apart, though, is their human decency. They treat clients with respect, honesty, and transparency. Questions were always welcomed, concerns were addressed promptly, and we never felt left in the dark. Building a home can be stressful, but they made it feel manageable and even enjoyable. If you’re looking for a contractor who combines skill, integrity, efficiency, and strong communication, I would highly recommend them without hesitation.

BVM was recommended by neighbours for staying on time and budget and they absolutely delivered on both for our basement underpinning/renovation project. All of their subcontractors and preferred vendors were experts and clearly prioritized BVM projects. They accommodated add-ons throughout the project and were very quick with responses and coordinating site visits.

Professional and experienced contractor, with excellent design and engineering services partners. BVM's team helped navigate our lane suite design and permit process, contributing their constructability and value engineering experience to help refine our design for both capital cost and construction schedule effectiveness.Highly recommend for their design/build expertise with these types of unique lane or garden suite ADU projects.

Vince, Colleen and the team helped my wife and I transform our 1930’s bungalow into the home of our dreams. I found the team to be knowledgeable, adaptable, and willing to rise to the occasion when the scenario called for it. Further, they have continued to support my wife and I in the 6 years since we moved back in.They’re not a fly by night contractor, they’re in it for the long haul.Alex

BVM Contracting built our custom home, and we couldn’t be happier! From the very first consultation to the final walk through, their team was professional, transparent, and incredibly skilled. They listened carefully to our vision and brought it to life with precision and care. The craftsmanship is top-notch—every detail, from the layout to the finishes, reflects quality and attention. They stayed on schedule, communicated clearly throughout the process, and handled any unexpected issues with calm expertise. We always felt like we were in good hands. If you're looking for a builder who truly cares about their work and their clients, BVM Contracting is the one. BMV did a really good job on our project. They completed it on budget, no surprises and on time, with no delays. It was a fairly large project, second floor addition and first floor gut reno. The communication was excellent, and we were happy with the quality of the work. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I've worked with the BVM team on several projects as a designer/draftsperson, and am continually impressed by their knowledge, communication, and thoroughness. Their dedication to their customers makes it easy to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable contractor.

BVM is worth contacting for an initial meeting to discuss your upcoming construction project!I am the owner of a BCIN design company called Mark H Smith Designs Inc. and have been working in the design/construction industry for over 11 years and have specifically worked with Ryan and the BVM team on 9 projects(and counting) over the past two and half years. These projects include completed, ongoing and prospective projects that aim to get started in the coming months. The scope of work for the projects we’ve worked on have ranged from small projects such as one involving constructing a new covered porch along with coordinating landscaping upgrades to the front yard and driveway. As well as working on much larger projects that included two storey rear additions, and second floor additions along with interior renovations throughout the existing building. Projects also included a basement conversion of a single family home to include a secondary suite, and a basement underpinning project that provided much needed additional livable space for a family within their existing building. Also, there were a few garden suites projects proposed within rear yards, one being a proposed conversion of a large existing garage into a one bedroom suite and one being proposed as an entirely newly constructed one bedroom suite.BVM’s benefits to homeowners and their upcoming projects begin before they are hired based on the professional feedback they offer and quotes they can prepare. Their project management services coordinate construction timelines and budget goals as well as provide transparent pricing breakdowns and timelines that refer to costing from their recently completed comparable projects and also develop detailed jobs and materials cost breakdowns for the upcoming project.I have experienced that BVM can do many things very well, to list three here, first, they can lead a project from its beginnings by coordinating with homeowners and helping them navigate starting a design phase, arranging connections between the homeowners and designers or engineers after they initially discuss goals and budget to understand the project. Second, they can seamlessly integrate into a project’s ongoing design, drafting or permitting stage and provide reliable professional communication and quoting and pre-construction stage project management. Third, they can coordinate and complete the construction stage based on their timelines and quotes.I also noticed BVM provides benefits to the homeowners and project’s process throughout the pre-construction and construction stages by thoroughly referencing permit drawings and checking in with designer’s and engineer’s about drawings and details, asking questions, sometimes confirming how a solution is to be provided, or sometimes requesting an alternative option to be evaluated which will potentially provide the homeowners with a benefit such as cost savings or time savings during construction through reduced labour or material costs by installing an equivalent product or by using a different construction approach. I wish their company’s communication and coordination approach towards details and project management during the pre-construction/construction stages were provided by more contractors within this industry. From my experience, they are a rare and lucky company to find and work with. They will treat you and your upcoming construction project with respect and offer transparency and structure within their quoting that has helped many of the homeowners I have connected them with feel more confident in getting started or in taking the next step forward for their project. If your upcoming project is located in an area that is within BVM’s service radius in the GTA, I would highly recommend you reach out to discuss your project with them!

Very Happy that we chose BVM for our home addition. From start to finish the guys went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with the whole process. Ryan and Vince became like family. The end result was amazing. Couldn’t be happier. Would highly recommend using their contracting service if you are doing any home renovations..

We hired BVM to coordinate a build/redesign of the front of our bungalow. They built a covered front porch from a pre-existing design, and replaced our front door and very large front window. They also managed subcontractors for a driveaway widening and repaving, as well as replacing our broken retaining wall with a new stone wall. Vince and Colleen were great to communicate with, and the landscaping subcontractor in particular was excellent, as were the folks BVM had doing our siding, eaves, soffits, etc. The BVM crew handled the window and door installation and did a very nice job. Vince was flexible and allowed us to do some of the carpentry and electrical work ourselves, which brought the costs down a bit. We really love how it all turned out! Thanks BVM!

BVM was a great partner in our home reno journey. Their very detailed scoping and estimate process meant that our second story addition came in very close to the original estimate and there were no surprises along the way. The crew worked hard to make sure that we were happy with all decisions and that the project was completed in the agreed timeframe - which was very important as we needed to be out of our rental on time. It's nice to work with and get to know the whole BVM family and felt they had a lot of integrity through the process.

Vince and his team did an awesome job building our outdoor shed. They were professional, always on time and kept a very clean workspace. At no time during this project did I feel like we were in a construction zone. I would highly recommend Vince and his team for any house projects!

BVM was a pleasure to work with for our new build project. Their project managers helped with all the planning ahead of the build, and created a detailed a budget for all phases of the project that was both transparent and accurate. Once building was underway, we had regular site meetings and daily conversations to ensure everything was completed to our satisfaction and in a timely manner. Our home was move-in ready in 9 months with no significant time or cost delays! We would use BVM again and highly recommend them for both small and large construction projects.

BVM helped us build a custom home in Toronto. They have been very transparent and thorough since day 1. Just like any industry, nothing is perfect and sometimes things don’t go according to plan 100%; Colleen and Vince would follow up and made things right. They are honest and have integrity. Thank you Meagher family and team!

We are in process of renovating our home, and I really cannot say enough about the level of professionalism and attention that BVM has put into the project. They are upfront about exactly what they are as a company - experienced, professional builders who do things right. They aren't the cheapest contractors on the block and they don't pretend to be. But every single interaction we've had with them has demonstrated why. There is no question at all that their work and services still represent excellent value. You'll get what you pay for with them, and more besides.

It was a learning experience for myself and BVM Contracting in building my acoustic room in my basement with 7 degree angled walls. BVM rose up to the challenge and was very successful. I love the finished product, very clean workmanship all the way through, and all the guys kept the work site neat and tidy through the process. They even kept my wife happy which is great news as well! Would recommend BVM Contracting for any renovation projects, without a doubt.

We are not the original purchasers of a BVM built home as the home was built approx 3 years ago. However, despite that, the home is beautifully constructed, the quality and thought put into the details and workmanship are wonderful. Having a few questions, we contacted BVM through their website and they responded! We are very impressed with their continued customer service on the homes they build!
