I was diagnosed with fibroids in May of 2026. I suspected I had fibroids a year or so ago. My cycles were super heavy, to include big clots, and lasted for like 13 days and painful, unbearable cramps, affecting daily life. No normal period should feel this way! It was a bit scary because, as a child, I saw my mom suffering with this blood issue for years, eventually having to get a partial hysterectomy. I thought that my diagnosis of fibroids meant the same for me, having to get a hysterectomy too, mind you, I’m still young enough to birth another child, so a hysterectomy was not an option, and I did not want to fast-forward menopause, of any kind.My GYN who is amazing, Dr, Zerlene Kersey-Chambers in VA, quickly advised my options, ruling out a hysterectomy. She said, don’t worry, there is a procedure called Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), and I am referring you to Vida Vascular, Dr. Antani. I scheduled my appointment ASAP. I went to the Springfield VA office for my consultation. The office was very welcoming I was greeted by office staff, who were super friendly.I was called back to see Dr. Antani, who was accompanied by 2 other medical staff members (I can’t remember their name). I was given a presentation of the Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) procedure. I thought to myself…WOW! I feel confident that they could help me, because I was going insane. Dr. Antani took the time, listened to my concerns, reassured me that he could help me, but first they had to see if I was a good candidate for the procedure. Meaning it must be a current healthy blood supply feeding the fibroids currently, to embolize them. Dr. Antani referred me for a No contrast/Contrast MRI. Once that was completed, I called Vida Vascular to inform them that I had completed the MRI, so that could review to see if I was a good candidate. I was connected to Danielle, Care Coordinator, who was so professional and helpful. I was deemed a good candidate for UFE. Danielle was so friendly and patient with my scheduling concerns, as I wanted to get the procedure done, immediately. She scheduled me ASAP June 2, 2026.I arrived for my procedure at the Oxon Hill office. I was greeted with a gentle smile and felt welcomed by Jamilla, Medical Assistant. I was ushered to the prep room. There I met my assigned nurse, Sierra….professional, down to earth, AMAZING!!! She was sooooo kool, felt like a long-lost cousin. I have severe, white coat syndrome. She was able to calm me down, reassure me that everything would be okay, I was in good hands and I believed her! Dr. Antani came in right before the procedure to make sure I was okay and prepared for the procedure. The procedure was kool, I felt safe. After the procedure, I rested for a few hours and was ready to go. Dr. Antani, Sierra, Jamilla, and basically the whole office staff surrounded me with support as I exited the office. I was placed in a wheelchair. I was feeling a little groggy from the procedure, next thing I know, I felt someone massaging my shoulders, I looked up it was Jamilla. When I say top tier, professional, concerned …they will take care of you!!! I am 30 days post op! I had been in contact with Danielle for my 30 day, post op and I scheduled my 3 month post op. I’m so pleased with the service from Vida Vascular!!!

I’ve had a number of corrective vascular procedures done to both legs. Dr. A and his staff were welcoming, attentive and extraordinarily professional. Their depth of knowledge and ability to explain the procedures were noteworthy. I was completely comfortable throughout each procedure and the results have been significant. At VidaVascular the staff is very polite and friendly as well as professional. The reminders given for upcoming appointments are very helpful. After each visit from a procedure, I recieved a courtesy call to check on my status. Dr. Antanni and his staff (Olga and Nicole) were very caring, as well as, professional to me, during each of my leg procedures for Venous Insufficiency. The doctor and staff took the time to explain things to me on a level that I could understand. I never had to wait to be seen by the doctor; each session was held upon my arrival. This was my first visit and I was very impressed.When I made the appointment, the young lady name Nicole was very patient and answered all of my questions. She was very personable and friendly and that was on the phone. When I showed up for my appointment, again she was helpful, patient and explained everything to me. I originally had an appointment for a Wednesday that was two weeks away. Nicole called me and said they had an available open appointment for a Saturday that was a week earlier than the Wednesday appointment. I was happy about that.She ran the required test on me and explained in detail what she was doing. After that Dr Antani came in an introduced himself. He explained everything that he had done and explained what I needed to comeback for another appointment and what he would be doing. I was extremely happy with the experience I had at his office.

My husband needed to have a biopsy and he went to VidaVascular. We worked with Nicole to get all the information needed from his military physicians and she was very, very, helpful. When we arrived at the office Dr. Antani spoke with us at length to make sure we understood how the procedure would be accomplished. The procedure was relatively painless. We would highly recommend Dr Antani to anyone needing an interventional radiologist. He and his staff were amazing!

I was so impressed with this clinic and Dr. Antani and his staff. I had been going to the GWU vascular center (had laser ablation and other procedures there) and switched for various reasons. I found the time Dr. Antani spent with me to explain things and consider the options for my varicose and spider veins to be of such greater quality and duration than the service I got at GWU. He truly considered my case and provided me with great options. I highly recommend them for both medical and cosmetic treatments.
