Very disappointed!! We hired Done-Rite to remove a toilet and install a new one. The young man who arrived removed the old toilet but could not get the new toilet installed. He spent an hour on the phone with a supervisor trying to figure out what to do. He left without installing the toilet and told me he could not get the old one back on either. He told us we needed to rip out and replace the entire floor in the bathroom so he could get the issue addressed. He left us with no toilet in place and a $500 charge. We called a different plumber from another company who came out and installed the new toilet in 10 minutes. No issues. Ridiculous! Less

Absolutely would recomend, situation was turning into a nightmare. Leaky cast iron pipe from our tub leaking onto our ceiling. The plumber who was dispatched, Danny was extremely professional knowledgeable and upfront about everything, and diagnosed the problem very quickly and showed me the exact location of the leak. The next day he came in and did the job in a timely and efficient manner. The company also seems very honest, the price i was quoted was the price I paid in the end, there was also no sales pitch which is very nice to not have to go through. Disappointing experience - they charged me 80.00 dollars to come out and look at a leaky faucet in my tub. That was ok because they said they would credit it for the repair. It then took weeks for someone to get back to me about the part. I called two or three times. Told they were on it - more delay. Finally a price comes - $1760 dollars to replace a faucet in a claw foot tub - when you break down the numbers, they were going to charge me over $270 dollars an hour to do the job. No mention of the credit in the estimate they sent me. Done never again. Less

I can’t speak for the quality of the work, as the quote I got was outrageous. $1000 to replace an outdoor spigot and it’s associated shut off valve, literally right on the other side of the wall from each other. They might do great work, but be prepared to pay a pretty penny. For reference, @$750 for the spigot itself, and @$250 for the shutoff valve. Less

Can you say elderly abuse? These guys came to install a water heater on a Saturday for my mother in law. Since the guy they sent wasn’t a plumber he wasn’t able to do the same amount of piping required to install the new heater. Instead they left and didn’t come back until Tuesday. Charged her for another trip charge then charged for the install then charged $1200 for a heater that they have a Home Depot for $600. After it was all added up the heater cost $2300. Do not use this company. Who am I? I’m the son in law that happened to be out of town while this scam happened. I’m also a state of Illinois licensed plumber of 40 years. Less

Very Satisfied Customer. I've used Done Rite for different services in the past, mostly small things. Recently, I called about a basement floor drain issue, which was full and giving off a bad odor, as well as a clogged basement toilet. I called Done Rite and they sent out a plumber the next day. He identified the issue as a broken ejector pump. He was able to replace the pump and get everything working again in less than an hour. We needed a Plumber in Elmhurst and many of them couldn't get anyone over until next week. We called Done Rite and they squeezed us in right away and even stayed late to get the job done in one day, when the other companies told us we would be without water for 2 days. Our sewer line has been backing up now for several months. We tried many different remedies and plumbers to fix the problem. After calling our old plumber to fix the problem 3 times and literally experiencing the same dilemmas over and over, we decided to call Done-Rite Plumbing to get to the bottom of the issue. They rodded out our sewer line and were pulling up all kinds of tree roots resulting from a broken sewer line running along side of our house. I had a coupon for sewer rodding for $100. The technician that came out spent 2 hours rodding the line, THEN told me it would be an extra $150 on top of the coupon price since he spent so long on it. When I questioned him about this, he said ‘You don’t HAVE to pay the extra. I just did a really great job for you, but you don’t have to pay it’. Weird and uncomfortable. The work he did was good. I was in need of a plumber to replace my water shut off valve and a few spigots. One of the neighbors told me about Done-Rite Plumbing. When the technician came to my house they did not have all the parts required to complete the job, so Jim called the office and had another plumber deliver the parts while doing the work. Per our contract with Done Rite signed and dated May 30, 2017, Pat’s company owes a refund of $2,500 deposit for ½ of the job that was to be performed, a $1,000 deposit for the parkway bond (he refused to provide that money) and $450 for the permit; which was not necessary because there was no work that was performed that actually required a permit at our property. We are demanding the return of all funds deposited to Done Rite and the payment of our permit (total $3950). The job supposed to be finished in October 2017. After exhausted attempts to schedule work to be completed and many instances of promised workers constantly not showing up, Done Rite’s abysmal scheduling practices and poor work ethics left us no choice but to file a formal complaint with BBB and the Office of Attorney General. Done Rite of La Grange disregarded letters from the above institutions and assumed it is entitled to keep the money without delivering any work. Moreover, Done Rite company left substantial damage to our basement floor, a pile of debris in our basement, a mess of the parkway and front yard as a result of a few hour pre-work. We never intended to work with persons that constantly lie about all relevant conversations related to the job moreover none of our certified letters had been answered. We are about to take legal actions against Done Rite of La Grange. So if you do not want to feel powerless and have someone taken your money in exchange for nothing but damage, please do not hire Done Rite of La Grange for any serious plumbing jobs. Less

I then called a number of other companies and no one could come out cause the holiday.
