Marni Tree House
We stayed in the treehouse for two nights as a family of four (two adults and two children). It’s a beautiful creation, lovingly crafted by Marni and her husband Frank, and we received a very warm welcome from Marni when we arrived. Our children adore animals, and Marni was wonderful with them – she involved them in feeding and grooming four horses, alpacas, goats and dogs, which was a real highlight and kept them happily occupied. The treehouse itself is well equipped with plenty of games and activities, which is important as the location is remote and nothing is within walking distance, so you’ll need to drive if you want to head off-site. The setting is peaceful and special, though worth bearing in mind that much of the enjoyment comes from being outdoors, so good weather makes a difference. As you’d expect from a treehouse, space is tight – there’s one double bed and two sofa beds, and cooking and washing up can feel a tight squeeze. Overall, a unique and memorable stay.
