We checked into Esmeralda for one night and could not have been more pleased. We made a last minute booking from the road and Shane was so friendly and helpful. Shane also recommended restaurants for us to try in town and we visited two of them on our whirlwind Clarens visit. As first time visitors to Clarens (one from KZN and one from the USA) this stay was a definite highlight of our SA road tripping holiday. The setting is peaceful, the accommodation is wonderfully unique and the swing is an absolute joy. Thank you Shane!!!

Exactly as described. Loved my overnight stay. I stayed in one of the wagons, and really enjoyed the experience. The wagons are equipped with everything needed and even a whole bunch of personal touches. The garden in so lovely and I enjoyed reading on a hammock in the garden, listening to the birds sing. Their guest service is also amazing. Warm welcoming and send-off. What more could you ask for.

When I think of Gyspy wagons in Clarens...the words that come to mind is tranquil and reset. The birds in the tree's or the leaves in the wind is the only sound you hear, unless your ears tune into the live music playing at the restaurants...excitement! Our wagon was filled with everything we could possibly need, it exceeded our expectations! With the shops not even 10 minutes away, the security you feel and the friendliness from Shane and Sandy, absolutely lovely and cannot wait for our next visit!!

This was my 2nd stay at the Gypsy Wagons & yet again it didn't disappoint. Shane & Sandy are delightful hosts & it is such a lovely experience to stay at a place that has so much charm & character. Easy walking distance to the Square & also a super walk is up to the dam for a wee morning dip. there is so much to see & do in Clarens & this is the ideal place to base yourself.

We really enjoyed our stay in a Gypsy Wagon for one evening. The bed was comfortable and the linen was clean and of great quality. The owner was friendly and helpful and although the shower facilities are outdoors, you have a nice bath in the Wagon. I would definitely stay here again if we came through Clarens.

Best experience ever! Shane went out of his way to make our wedding anniversary special. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Quiet, peaceful and romantic. So many relaxation areas outside to reconnect with nature and just take a break. Will be staying again in the future 10/10
