Joe Spak will take a huge deposit, and then there was no communication. He made numerous mistakes (within code enforcement) and in city planning and zoning. My plan he submitted wrong. He went on vacation for 10 days, had no one to call me back . I wanted out of the deal and he made up some fake reason why he was entitled to keep the deposit. He just said No Refunds. I am currently trying to get my money back through Small Claims court. Do not give him money up front. Any contractor that asks for money more than 500.00 to apply for a permit. Buyer Beware.

We recently worked with Joe and his team on removing a gas fireplace and it was a remarkable experience. First of all, they showed up the first day at 8:00 AM, as they promised, and went to work immediately. Bo and Eric were assigned to our project and were incredible to work with. In every project there are unexpected issues, but these guys rose to every challenge with positive attitudes and experience to match. What the attached pictures cannot show, is that they also had to remove a chimney from a sharply sloped roof with weather threatening. Everything was done within two days, and they did so while maintaining a clean workspace. I would highly recommend First Coast Renovations for interior remodeling work.

Joe and his crew did a fantastic job of building a room in our garage. We were impressed with their workmanship, punctuality and communication. Their pricing was comparable with other quotes we received and they worked within our budget. We would definitely contact them again for future projects.

We cannot say enough positive things about Joe Spak and his company, First Coast Renovations. Professional, timely, and his technicians were top notch! Not to mention their craftsmanship. Joe kept us informed with each step of the process. They were on time, listened to and followed my concerns. They treated our home as if it was theirs. The work required Joe to engage three sub-contractors. They too were prompt, professional, and did excellent work, following Joe’s standards. Even the St Johns County inspectors were impressed with their work.Joe was extremely responsive to our questions. They worked well around our pool construction which was ongoing at the time. Joe and his team took what could have been an extremely stressful process and made it as seamless as humanly possible.These doors completely change the look and feel of our home. The view to the pool is incredible. Everyone who sees these doors is extremely impressed with the craftsmanship and beauty of the project. Our pool company owner came by to see the finished pool, and all he wanted to talk about was our new doors. He was blown away by the work Joe’s team did.We highly recommend him and will hire him for our next project.
