We had the most incredible trip to Botswana and Victoria Falls, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish!Mariki organised everything so perfectly, which meant we could simply relax and enjoy the trip without having to worry about a thing. The communication, planning and organisation were all seamless, and the transfers between were absolutely fantastic, especially when it came to helping us through the borders and making sure everything ran smoothly along the way.All of the lodges were wonderful, the food was great and the game drives were amazing. We were also incredibly lucky with our sightings. An absolutely unforgettable experience!This was truly a bucket-list trip for us, and Mariki played such a huge part in making it so special. "The ONE and ONLY." Rika and Melissa were both very professional; informative and helpful with all our questions in the pre tour period. Melissa also checked in throughout the tour to make sure all were fine! All the flights - international and internal were good. The transfers from and to the lodges were on time and enjoyable. The staff at the lodges all knew Rika in person - and made sure that our visits were memorable in all aspects. We often plan overseas trips, but forget or don't know what exceptional destinations we have on our own African continent. Tanzania blew our minds away on this special family holiday celebrating a 70th birthday - the friendly people; the save environment; the healthy, hearty meals with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables with every meal (the roads are lined with fruit and vegetable gardens) and wonderful meat dishes; the hospitality of all the lodges' staff; the prime positions of the lodges and then off course, what nature offered. We were privileged to visit the Tarangire National Park; The Ngorongora Crater; Central and Northern Serengeti. The vast expanses with thousands of animals and various "lifers" for our birders are instilled in our memories forever and ever. We were fortunate to see 71 lions, 2 leopards, 1 cheetah and 4 river crossings, all were exceptional. My wife and I had an incredible holiday to Samburu, Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara in Kenya. The trip was absolutely wonderful, we were accompanied by Rika and Mariska and had an unbelievably wonderful time of game viewing. We were privileged to see the last two northern white rhino at Ol Pejeta - what an incredible, but very sad experience to see these two last survivors of a magnificent species. Samburu was mind blowing with excellent viewing of Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe, the Beisa Oryx, vulturine guinea-fowl the blue legged Somali ostrich, not forgetting a once in a lifetime view of a cheetah with cubs feeding on a recent gazelle kill. The reserve of Ol Pejeta allowed the viewing of black rhino and females with calves, it was a photographers heaven with most game posing to be snapped. Lake Nakuru allowed several viewings close up of prides of lion with cubs as well as pelicans, flamingoes and some large herds of buffalo to name but a few sightings. Finally we were spoilt to see wildebeest crossing the Mara River as well as some of the largest crocodiles I have ever seen. This was a holiday of a lifetime and we will be repeating it. What an absolutely amazing opportunity to see several diverse habitats that house the East African mammals that Kenya is renowned for. It was yet another amazing trip with Explore Plus Travel - thank you for this incredible holiday.

Our week-long holiday, with stays at 2 (very) different camps, was developed around a proposal provided by eXplore - selected from alternatives that were provided.
