I was scared when I got sick in a foreign country but this service was so perfect, I just had to leave a message on Whatsapp and could immediately book an appointment at my hotel for my issue. After having acute gastro issues for ten days I decided it was time to see a doctor. Based in Hiriketiya, I couldn't seem to find a nearby doctor so I decided to give Doctor Near Me a try.I was a little nervous as there weren't very many reviews for this service but I can safely say it was brilliant from start to finish.After WhatsApping the number, I was connected to a doctor who arrived to my apartment within the hour. After a consultation with him, he drove me to the local lab for diagnostic tests and then escorted me to the pharmacy. In a country where I cannot speak the language and many people are not fluent in English this really helped to put me at ease. I was then dropped back home and instructed to wait for my results which were delivered through WhatsApp.All of this came to $100USD which is slightly more than you'd pay at the local hospital but in terms of ease and feeling like I was getting a great service from an English speaker it was well worth it. This can all be claimed back on your travel insurance too.For anyone worried about a visit to the docs in Sri Lanka I'd recommend this service and would use again.

I came across this service while googling for information on nearby medical services. It's the ideal answer for the tourist travelling in a location where you don't speak the language. Our initial What's App conversations where conducted in English and a doctor came to visit me within a few hours taking a sample for pathology analysis and leaving me with the appropriate medication, and the promise of a follow up consultation. What could have been a time consuming inconvenience was so easy.
