I just completed my first self defense class ever - kickboxing - and really enjoyed it. Shelly, one of the instructors, took time to thoroughly teach, coach and demonstrate (and demo again as needed) each step in a “routine”. The class is as much or as little of a workout as your body wants it to be and included some light stretching cardio and ab exercises. There was one other class of Brazilian JuJitsu happening at the same time, but it didn’t distract, interfere with or detract from my experience at all. Getting there is the hardest part - if you’re curious I recommend you just do it!

Visited for the first time today, for a permit to carry class. This place is amazing! The instructor Peter was amazing and a very great teacher. Danae is also amazing and was very friendly. They were such great help today and so knowledgeable about what they were teaching. Cannot wait to see them again!

This was such a fun and informative class. Peter and Danae were excellent instructors both in class and at the range. I felt safe, I learned and had fun at the same time. I’m far from an experienced gun user but after taking this class I feel confident that I could handle a handgun if one was put in my hands today. Thank you, Peter and Danae for your service.

Recently I had the pleasure of taking part 1 of the IKMF civilian instructor course at Valley. Peter, Denae, and Shelly have a marvelous venue and took amazing care of me and my cohort. We had everything we needed to stay hydrated, fed, and safe, and we were lucky enough to be able to spar and train with the team as well! If you have an interest in self-defense, definitely consider Valley.

Went to my first ever BJJ class this morning feeling slightly apprehensive but determined to attend anyway. I was immediately put at ease by Eugene and the whole class who welcomed me, encouraged me to go at my own pace and helped me. It was great! I’m planning to go back for sure.

I attended an impressive Intro to Gun Defenses training here. WOW. Intense but also trauma-informed and supportive of me as a beginner.
