I flew into Houston from another state to have a full facial rejuvenation with Dr. Athre on June 30th. I'm a very detail-oriented person and I count my blessings that I did my homework. I'm 73 yrs young and choosing Dr. Athre was one of the easiest decisions I've ever made. His transparency and artistry shine on both his website and YouTube channel. He wants his patients to be informed, and he provides videos, print explanations, pictures and patient interviews to detail each procedure and anticipated journey through pre-op, recovery and post-op. I'm 6 weeks post-op now and only need eyeshadow to cover the slight bruising I still have from my Upper Blepharoplasty. I also had a Deep Plane Facelift, a Deep Plane Neck Lift, Ptosis Repair on both eyes, Facial Fat Transfer and a Chemical Peel. The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Elixir MD accelerated my healing, and I flew home on Friday, July 10th. I returned to work the following Monday, July 13th, less than 2 weeks after surgery and my co-workers were amazed! I would give Dr. Athre 10 stars if I had the option! And kudos to his wonderful staff too. An absolutely stellar experience from the start.

This was my first facial plastic of any kind. After researching watching many YouTube videos and Instagrams . And trust me, they were a lot of surgeons . I saw Dr Athre videos and after reviewing his videos .I said to myselfI have found the surgeon I need.So I called Dr Athre office made an appointment.Went in for a consultation . Dr Athre is truly genuine good people he is passionate about his work and his patients.Dr Athre listened to what I wanted done and he shared with me what he recommends made me feel very comfortable about the plan and process.So my journey began. I had eyelid surgery (I had hooded eyes)and volume filling with fat grafting under eyes (I had tear -throughs).I did what I had to do to prepare for the surgery.The day of the surgery I was very nervous I had all kinds of emotions going on .By choice the procedure was done under local anesthesia so I was a little nervous.But Dr Athre and his staff made me feel safe and comfortable and I was .I even remember Dr Athre asking me during surgery how I was doing I remember answering him I feel great no pain..He would explain every thing to me from what I would feel during the surgery that helped me be at ease. Dr.Athre staff made a house call after I got home to check on me to see how I was doing.I had minimal pain no complications . So every follow up appointment the doctor and his staff took very good care of me . Every follow visit was amazing.They were just as excited for me as I was for myself.Let me share with y’all I do not regret having the procedure done at all .I feel once again confident about my eyes now I can face the world and I let my eyes 👀 shine ✨ bright like a diamond 💎.Now I let my eyes do all the talking for me . I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Athre and his staff. I loved my experience from the front desk 💕 to his assistants. For all the ladies who are out there and might be afraid 😱 of having facial plastic surgery. Don’t be afraid because I am telling you I found the perfect facial plastic surgeon Dr Athre .Dr Athre and his staff really do care about their patients .He will be my first choice and highly recommend to anyone in the future .His hands are truly blessed 😇

I had a Deep plane facelift on May 13, 2026.However, prior to that important date, I researched facial plastic surgeons for about 2 years before I stumbled on to Dr Athre. I am a 65 year old black woman that is extremely fit and lean, so I was quite aware that I needed a doctor who had experience with my skin type and who understood the dynamics of a super lean person who now wants her face tightened and what that balance needs to look like. I also wanted the Dr I chose to specialize in Facial surgery only. My demands were high, hence the 2 year research. I started following Dr Karem, a highly skilled Dr from California on YouTube. I was convinced he might be the Dr for me because of how Amazing his work was and he specialized in facial plastic surgery. However, the draw back for me was, none of the videos I saw of his work included black patients. I then decided to Google Facial plastic surgeons who worked on black people. Several Doctors names came up including Dr Athre. However, along with Dr Athre’s name also came a very explicit video of a black women around my age that he did reconstructive surgery and a Deep Plane facelift. The results were MIRACULOUS. The video showed her before pictures and chronicled her journey from the day after surgery to 4-6 weeks after. Her results BLEW ME AWAY. It was just what I wanted, to look like myself but Refreshed. At that point I knew I had found the right Surgeon for me.I contacted Dr Athre for a zoom meeting and his confidence in his abilities was exactly what I was looking for. We discussed how we were going to approach my surgery and we both agreed on what the outcome should be.I am writing this review a month after my surgery and I couldn’t be more THRILLED with the results.My very skeptical husband who resisted the idea of me having surgery and the cost, saw me 2 weeks after surgery when I returned to Costa Rica where we live and his response when he picked me up from the airport was “WOW”!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!! “MONEY WELL SPENT”. I responded with a side eye😏 “UH HUH”!!!!!!!🤣To wrap this up, I am truly grateful that I met Dr Athre and his WONDERFUL TEAM ( Barbara, Rosa, Vickey, Cassie). Also, Dr Randall the anesthesiologist who has the most Delightful bedside manner that made me feel so secure and safe. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional, personalized experience. I felt like I was the only patient that ever walked through the doors of 2414 Ella Blvd. As a matter a fact on one of my follow-up appointments, there was another patient who had just had surgery and was in for her follow-up appointment. She was getting so much attention from Dr Athre and his nurse Vickey, that I recall feeling a little perturbed that she was getting so much attention as well.🤣. I got over it, and recognized that’s how EVERY patient should be treated.My journey of healing continues and every day it gets better and better. I am grateful that I took the time to find the right Surgeon for me and I am Proud of Dr Athre and the work that he did.Normally people try to hide the fact that they’ve had plastic surgery, WELL NOT ME.
