My house has steel siding which was peeling badly from previous paintings that were not done correctly and did not hold. I talked to six painting contractors, including commercial contractors, and their solutions were no different than how they would paint a house with wood siding. I then talked to Miguel with GotEM Brushing. He knew the house had to be prepped and painted differently -- specifically for the steel siding. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained how their process was specifically for bonding to the steel siding. They did a very thorough job of removing the peeling paint before they applied the primer specifically for steel siding and then painted the top coat, again specifically for steel siding. They were very careful to protect my new windows and door details and replaced rotting frames around two windows. They also covered bushes as well as the porch and deck. They stayed on the job until it was finished. The house was painted white with a different color for the shutters and front door that I had selected. When I saw the paint color on the shutter that I had picked I did not like it. They even waited while I went to buy a different color. My 80 year old house looks brand new.
