Ben has been learning to play the drums with Music Works for almost 5 years now and for the last 2 years has also been playing in a band with Music Works. Vic Cox teaches the weekly band skills sessions and the band have gone from strength to strength with his leadership. He is a very patient and supportive teacher, and Ben has learnt so much about being in a band over the past 2 years. They have regular gigs now and Vic is often there to support them which is hugely appreciated.

Kyle as a guitar teacher has opened a door to an instrument that had been a thing of wonder and mystery to me from the moment I bought my first 7" single in the 1970s. His patience and good humour have made the learning all that more rewarding, blending broad insight with the finer detail and a firm and fair appraisal of when you haven't practised enough! Punctual, accommodating, professional and understanding and all of that continued on zoom through the lockdowns. It is always more challenging as you get older to learn new things but Kyle and the MW team continue to reignite that desire, that lies in us all, to explore new things. Give it a go people.

Our daughter (10 years old) has been having weekly guitar lessons with Kyle for the past couple of years. Lessons started out in person and moved to online when lockdown occurred. Even remotely, Kyle managed to encourage and prepare M for her first guitar grading exam, which she passed first time and is now well on the way to her second exam. Would happily recommend Kyle and The Music Works to anyone considering lessons for themselves or their child.

I have had lessons with Kyle for 4 years and am sorry to have to give it up now. He was a very good teacher with great passion and motivation. The lessons have always been fun with an amazing display of songs.Thank you for giving me a great insight into music, teaching me not only how to play guitar but also how to read music. (Felix)

Kyle is teaching both my sons (age 9 & 11) guitar, starting with acoustic, now electric. They have recently achieved grade 1 and grade 2 respectively. Kyle has been fantastic. He is professional, punctual and polite. During lockdown he has successfully continued to teach remotely by video link. The boys love their lessons!

My daughter started guitar lessons during the first lockdown and has only ever done lessons on Zoom. I have been so impressed with how much she enjoys and gets out of the lessons and also with how she has progressed. The lessons are fun and inspire her to listen to and want to learn new songs.

Great Uke lessons with Tyler both at school and online since lockdown. Tyler is really calm and explains the lesson in a way that makes learning fun and enjoyable. The MW are very helpful and supportive if you have any questions or concerns. This has been my daughter's first introduction to learning an instrument and has ignited her to want to continue her music journey with the trumpet next!

Just wanted to say you have all been great during the Lockdown. It is really helpful to have the weekly lessons and YouTube Live sessions with John. Our son usually has his lessons with John during school time and so we have not had the opportunity to meet him. His weekly video lessons and live sessions have allowed us to virtually meet him and have been really helpful to us as parents too. They have enabled us to be much more involved and encouraging than previously as we know a lot more about what our son is learning and what he should be practising each week. Keep up the great work!

Really lovely day with some great tunes, the teachers were so fab and friendly and the kids clearly loved the whole experience. I think it's a great idea to give them the taste of performing live in a fun festival environment. Thanks for a great day!
