I'm using the 30-day trial version and it's great. It was my first time doing hot yoga, so it was difficult, but I loved it.
I’ve been going here for two years and I love it. Brian is great, the vibe is great, and the people are super friendly. It’s bikram but not super hot. Brian can modify all his poses for any injury, and really understands body mechanics. My posture, overall strength, endurance, and flexibility have all improved a LOT. Brian is what made myself and my husband sticking to yoga. He gives you individual attention unlike other group yoga classes where you are just going with the flow.
I can’t recommend Brian’s classes enough. I joined about a year and a half ago after a similarly long break from fitness and it’s been transformative. Brian gets you to perform at a high level of effort, day after day, and leave happy. I have never gotten so much personal attention and adjustments from a yoga instructor, and as a result my posture, flexibility, and general energy are as good as they've ever been. I understand and am more in touch with my body than any time in the 30+ years before this. Brian meets you where you are at, and as a man who has always enjoyed yoga but struggled with flexibility, that has allowed me to get into postures I had never done correctly before and truly progress every week. Highly, highly recommend this studio if you are committed to changing your life. Less

When I met Yoga Tonic’s owner Brian before my first class this month, he asked if I had any injuries. When I met Yoga Tonic’s owner Brian before my first class this month, he asked if I had any injuries. In response to my long list, he said “I can help you heal your body.” Honestly that sounded like magical thinking. But when you are in daily pain - and facing scary “s” prospects - you’ll try anything! After three knee surgeries and dozens of professional consults, it has been an extraordinary experience to have finally found hope. That’s not a cliche. In our first few minutes together Brian identified what will be our first project - how to restore my feet and gait to return to proper alignment. He literally “taught” me (and I am not “young”) how to walk correctly. Through wisdom, kindness, and humor Brian has moved my body and mind into a place where healing has already begun. I am so grateful. Thank you. Less

Temperature of his practice is much more conducive to pushing your poses without overdoing it. At 54 years of age my form and flexibility have gone next level since working with him and Sarah and the reasonable class size allows for more personalized and constructive guidance. Studio is always clean and it’s a convenient location between Van Ness and Franklin. Highly Recommend! Less

Brian is not only a skilled yoga practitioner, but also an attentive instructor. He is always there to guide and correct my posture, ensuring that I was getting the most out of each pose. His attention to detail and personalized approach made me feel supported and encouraged throughout the class. What I really enjoyed about Body Tonic SF was the element of fun that was infused into the classes. While the focus is on yoga and improving flexibility and strength, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. There is a sense of community and camaraderie among the participants, which added to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for a yoga studio that offers excellent classes with an attentive instructor like Brian, and where you can have some fun while improving your practice, I highly recommend Body Tonic SF. I also love the differences in teaching in Sarah’s class.. she adds more core instruction and her knowledge and instruction in yoga helps me keep my focus on my body and my breath. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was because it also offered a lift class. This is a whole body workout that is centered around the core. I have learned so much about my body in this class definitely found muscles in my core that I didn’t know existed. This place offers the whole package for getting in shape the right way. I’m loving my transformation so far and excited to see what the future brings! Less
Spacious dry-heat studio with instructors who are knowledgeable and generously provide specific posture advice..
Game changer
The owner lacks heart and anything resembling human compassion.
One of the best yoga studios in CA. Heated perfectly. Gorgeous, clean studio. Outstanding instructors.
Loved it! I can't wait to go again wonderful experience. I was referred by a friend for one free class i sweated like I was in a sauna
This place is truly incredible. The staff is fantastic each taking turns teaching and assisting--it turns a yoga class into an experience. I would recommend Body Tonic SF Yoga and Wellness San Francisco to anyone!!
1. Do not bother. 2. See number one! The narcissistic owner/instructor does not (and refused to) show the class what the poses are supposed to look like. He does not adjust his enunciation or voice volume to accommodate the muffles of a face mask. There is no music, but that is the least of the offenses. On the positive side, no one goes there so you and the one or two other women who do show up... More

CYC is amazing! From great communication to an Awesome class. Karen was my instructor for my first class and she is warm, caring, positive and motivating. Her energy is calming and welcoming. I highly recommend California Yoga Company.
Brian, I have been buying "first timer offer" packages in every yoga studio nearby for the past two years. Yours was the best. Thank you for helping me. Now that I have decided to become a yoga instructor, I will rely on you as an inspiration because of your excellent sequence of postures and knowledge of proper, helpful form. Thanks for that. I'm a yoga instructor from LA, and I did a drop in class while I was in town for a friend's wedding and wanted to check out a new studio. In the realm of yoga classes I've taken, this one was at the bottom. There's a ton of Yoga in San Francisco - I can't say I'd recommend this one first.
I’m not a yogi but completed my first class an Really enjoyed it 🤗 not overly crowded so you get personalized instruction (I need a lot). I will definitely be back!
CYC has been a great experience for a beginner like myself. It really feels like a community and everyone is so welcoming and supportive. The instructors are very attentive and guide you to ensure that your form is correct. Each time I attend a class I leave with a big smile on my face.
I have never done yoga before and they are very helpful/encouraging to beginners. It’s challenging and very rewarding.
I just joined California Yoga company last week and absolutely love it. The best thing I have done for my health and wellness; however challenging it may be. I have NO yoga experience, and instructor Brian Monnier has been nothing but welcoming, kind and patient from the beginning. Nothing pretentious here; just a great place and practice for those who wish to make a healthy change.
Very professional teaching. Suitable for advanced students and those with limitations.

Awesome class! Brian is a great instructor who really engages with everyone on a personal level to achieve their postures. Highly recommend.
Brian was very encouraging and corrected our postures to refine our alignment. The style is more like Bikram than Vinyasa, but the room is not as hot as Bikram. The energy is very positive in the studio and I really enjoyed the class. Will be back for more!
I took my first yoga class here and I can honestly say that I felt very welcome. The instructor (Sarah) was very nice and gave extra direction for me when needed. I feel nice and sore today and I can't wait to get back for another class!
Nice studio, friendly instructor and rigorous sessions!
Just started at CYC and felt an enormous improvement with my tight lower back and legs after just the first class. After not having practiced yoga for years, Brian’s classes and approach make it easy to regain my strength through daily practice and focus. I highly recommend CYC to anyone looking to start or get back into yoga practice.
CYC's brand of yoga is unique. Here are the many reasons I'm a fan. Warm room so no sweaty neighbors, carpeted so no mat needed, no downward dog so no wrist pain, just bring a towel to lay down on, clean space and super nice instructors that just walk you through the poses.
I've never really done yoga before and I chose California Yoga Company because the website made it seem very friendly and welcoming to beginners. And it was! Brian was good natured and motivating throughout the session. He is precise and thorough while walking around the room evaluating each person's posture and making adjustments. I was focused and energized the whole time.
This yoga studio is amazing! Usually I go to Brian’s classes, he is a great teacher. With his help I learned how to do yoga, he is very attentive to details, explaining all unclear moments. After classes I feel more relaxed. Also classes help me to be in a good shape :) I can recommend studio not only for beginners but for experienced persons as well.
Body tonic sf has changed my life. My energy level, flexibility and strength have improved dramatically since I committed to classes with Brian.
Brian's class is always challenging, but in a good way. He helps students modify poses to address individual needs, while focusing on form and providing direction and encouraging to take the poses deeper. I have been taking yoga at his studio for the last 3 months and the benefits to my health and mood have been noticeable. Best decision I have made in a long time.
I've studied yoga with Brian at Cal Yoga for more than 20 years. He's a pro who takes each student's needs very seriously and works with each individually - especially if you have physical restrictions or injuries. His new studio is fabulous.
Brian and his team of instructors offer an excellent yoga experience. Instruction is personalized to your specific limitations or injuries. Really nice group of people attend classes. Loving the early morning (M,W,F) time slot! Come join the fun and you'll transform your body.
