As inns go, this was pretty much perfect! It's a bit outside of downtown (20 min walk/5 min bus ride with a stop right outside) and there can be some loud noise from the hospital across the street, but otherwise I had an excellent experience.All the staff seemed great, especially the daytime staff. There was a very kind and helpful gentleman at the front desk, who clarified charges and I even ended up being able to check in early. They're also relaxed about dropping off luggage early/leaving it there after check-out for no fee.The architecture and vibe of the inn is awesome, it felt very cozy, historical, and unique compared to a chain hotel. I had a single twin bed room with a private hallway bathroom, which was completely fine as it was really close to my room. Heating and amenities (TV, ice bucket, robe) were solid.Breakfast was as good as possible while being cold food only (aside from coffee/tea), there were plenty of options and a generous time range.I'll definitely be staying here the next time I'm in Portland!

I stayed in the King Luxury Suite for two days and nights. I was looking for a quiet, private getaway, and they delivered! The room was clean, the jet tub was excellent, and I couldn't hear a peep from outside.

Kind of an older establishment but its well kept and clean! Much nicer than some hotel chains I've been to. The room had lots of charm, and we all slept very well. One hot shower turned our bathroom into a steamroom :-)

We love this Inn. We pass through Portland a few times a year and this is our go to location. Not only is the staff the friendliest you will find, but the few times we’ve needed to contact them for an issue they are responsive, friendly, and understanding, and fix the issue immediately! The rooms are always clean, and we love the fact that they are dog friendly so we get to bring our fur babies. As someone who has stayed here more than a dozen times, it’s really sad to see these unwarranted bad reviews about this place. This hotel is old, but it adds to the aesthetic of it. Anyone passing through Portland should definitely stay at the Inn, yes there are stairs and no elevator, but that just adds to the unique experience.
