Although we have a maintenance contract with MCS, we made the mistake of getting another company to do an annual cleaning and to check why the furnace was kicking on with a thermostat reading of 78. Needless to say, not a good idea because MCS installed the furnace and should have provided the service and repair. The other company did not know the furnace and basically impaired its’ operation. LESSON LEARNED! Gary and Landon (I guess who is an apprentice) came to the house and Gary knew the exact problem and repaired the problem. Gary took the time to instruct Landon about the problem and how to fix the problem. Instilled my confidence that there are HVAC technicians teaching the next generation about troubleshooting and how to initiate and complete a repair. GREAT JOB, GUYS!

He walked us through what he was doing by explaining everything with such knowledge and detail. Gary provided excellent service from start to finish. He was an absolute delight to work with. When we purchased our home in October 2022 we didn’t know what company the previous owner used for their heating oil or to service their furnace. I googled nearest location for heating oil and Tevis showed as the nearest. I was lucky to have learned that they had been the company to have serviced our furnace and they were honest to have let us know that the old owner had already serviced our furnace that year. I was impressed with that because it showed they were an honest company. I have been using them ever since for our furnace, our heating oil and I have used them for plumbing work I needed in our home. Tevis is an excellent company to have for your heating and air conditioning service and the employees are respectable and excellent at their jobs. They offer honest advice on whatever questions you have with the work that is needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone needing that service.

Modern Comfort are true lifesavers! During the extreme heat this summer, our heat pump suddenly stopped working, pumping lukewarm air around the house. We called this morning and had same morning service, the office secretary was very nice and got us a tech out quickly. The technician was wonderful and found we had a part inside the heat pump that was bulging due to the extreme heat. He had it replaced in minutes! And immediately after, our AC was working again, the house feels great. Price was very reasonable, too. We also had our entire system installed by them years ago and it has worked flawlessly. I absolutely recommend Modern Comfort for any HVAC installations and repairs, excellent service across the board!

Annual Maintenance + Annual Service Contract: This is my second year with Modern Comfort. Our prior company was bought out. This was the most thorough annual maintenance ever completed on my systems. I highly recommend signing up for annual service. It has been a great "insurance" policy and ensures very quick response from the team if an "after hours" issue arrises. Everyone is very transparent. Ask questions if unsure and they will answer/explain. Specifically, just had Jordan to the house. He left no stone unturned and identified a couple items that will result in a follow up visit to replace ordered parts and that will be $0 to minimal charge because of the contract. So get the service contract people! I look forward to seeing Jordan's smiling face and very happy attitude when he returns for the aformentioned repairs.
