Our Mom just moved in to this residence, My brother and I decided to join her for their family evening. What fun! The staff are friendly, caring, kind, and full of energy. Entertainment accompanied a delicious German meal of yager schnitzel or brat with sauerkraut. I am highly pleased with my mother's transition from Sage Valley to Volante. Nate, Jenny, and Debra form an exceptional team. They treat the facility as if it were their own home. The atmosphere is inviting, nurturing, and filled with compassion. They are diligent and responsive in meeting the residents' needs. Integrity and outstanding work ethics are among their many admirable traits. I rest much easier knowing that my mother is comfortable and receiving excellent care... and she enjoys the meals! We have lived at Sage Valley assisted living. Many promises, but all of them were broken. We stayed for 6 months, but it continued getting worse. Chef Charly was wonderful, but promises were made, and only one was kept. Several of the Sage Valley employees left and came to Round Rock. We are now treated well, the rooms are slightly larger, and several of the former Sage Valley people moved to Rolling Rivers. It seems to be more established than Sage Valley was, and we were thrilled to be able to find a larger apartment, with many more devoted personable employees, better meals, larger apartment, larger rooms and much better for everything. We were very happy to move, and better staff and scheduling, more access to doctors, more appointments have been made and we feel cared for, even dentists have been scheduled. My parent has been with Rolling Rivers for a little over a year in Assisted Living. The management has worked very closely with me in assuring she is given the personalized care she needs: including a special diet, movement from one activity to another and constant caregivers coming to her room checking on her. The director recently met with me within an hour over a sensitive personal need that was professionally met with empathy and a mutual thoughtful solution. Flo the activity director is kind hearted and creative, Kevin whom helps in numerous ways on maintenance, always has a smile and a hello, Debra is thoughtful and kind and helps the residents and family feel heard and secure. The caretakers have always behaved in a professional manner. The building itself is well maintained, modern, beautifully furnished and the food is very good. I recommend Rolling Rivers. Less
