Our project was a bath renovation and addition of a shower in the basement utility room with a mash up of plumbing, dated flooring and a half bath tucked under the stairs. It was not a small undertaking requiring reworking the main sewer line in the floor and other challenges. After several widely differing bids based on our detailed wish list and no detailed floor plan or visualization of the finished project, we opted to go with a design/build company. The cost was in divided into 2 parts. The cost of the design and floor plan and subsequent to that if we decided to have SHI do the construction based on their bid, the design cost would be deducted from the overall cost. The design completely changed the layout and for the better. All subs visited the project and offered recommendations. What emerged was the most efficient use of space available and CAD generated views of the finished project. We bought the whole package. And never looked back. There will always be bumps in any renovation but these were handled collaboratively and efficiently. The crew from Lexi in design, Matt and Scott in production management, and all the subcontractors were simply the best. They became family, which is kinda important when you embark on a project of this scope. The now finished project is everything we hoped it would be. We contracted Springs Home Improvement to upgrade our rental property in Colorado Springs. This was a rental for 25 years and prior our residence. We lived out if state so we not only wanted a good contractor, but also one we could trust, being an out If state owner. We got both when we hire Springs Home Improvement. The communication was excellent, and the Home looked better than when we occupied it ourselves. We visited the property at the time construction began and again at its completion. The best reference I could give is this; the build was on budget, on-time, and they delivered what we all agreed to. This remodel included every bedroom, every bathroom, the basement, the kitchen, the living room and family room. It looks and was a brand new home on the inside. We also called them back a few years later due to a frozen broken water pipe. They treated the tenants with respect and aided with a debate with our insurance company on what work was required vs what the insurance company want to payout for. Because of our trust and confidence, all this work was completed with the same quality as before and due to the constant pictures and communication, the work was completed, the insurance company ended up doing the right thing, and we were able to complete the repairs without having to make a trip to the property. This past winter (late '21-22) I had Springs Home Improvement gut and completely remodel two bathrooms. I can't say enough good about them! I was totally amazed at the depth of the estimate, and yes, it did cost, because they brought in their electrician, plumber, tiler, cabinet maker - everyone who would be working on the project. Then Amber worked up the estimate. The only (very minor) budget changes were for unknowns that came up (a couple minor issues once they got into the wall and plumbing) and design changes I wanted as we worked through each room. Eric (Project Manager) kept us informed when any materials were to be delayed, came in and did some of the work himself when needed, and Scott was always available as a backup if needed. At the end of the project the whole team came in to make sure everything was completed, cleaned, and that I was happy -- so was my husband. Four months after the fact, we are thoroughly enjoying the redesigned and upgraded rooms and there are NO issues of any kind. If you want the best, pay for the best - use Springs Home Improvement. After researching and meeting multiple vendors for a kitchen remodel and laundry room move, my wife and I selected Springs Home Improvement based on their current up to date licensing, business\client research and initial project plan. We had the pleasure of working with Chuck and team from start to finish. Our project manager Scott was great and always accessible and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Our initial project scope was a kitchen remodel and laundry room move. As with any major project, unforeseen issues arise. During the demo process, it was discovered that there was a major issue with existing gas and water lines in a column that was to be removed per design. Not only did they inform us immediately, they came to us with options. This project change expanded to include some additional remodel work in the master bedroom which they did at a very reasonable cost while keeping the project on track. Updates were always given and they were always accessible for any questions no matter how small. They also provide an online project management tool to keep the client up to date with all changes. We were looking to sell our home but that has all changed since my wife has her new dream kitchen and laundry room. We will be hiring them again to do our master bathroom remodel in the next year or two. I would recommend them to anyone. Less

Springs Home Improvement did a wonderful remodel of my basement 1/2 bath. It was small, tacky & ugly when I bought my home 14 years ago & didn't improve with age. I seldom went down there & so it didn't bother me much, but then I decided it was way past time to fix it up & add a shower. I interviewed 3 contractors, 2 wanted to take space out of my furnace/storage room to create the shower, but Chuck suggested a better way that even cost less & makes perfect sense. He was very respectful of my budget...all his crew are excellent workmen... knowledgeable, professional, gentlemen. No smoking, profanity or loud talking, everything was cleaned up end of each day. My budget was small, but I never felt that I wasn't getting a top notch job. All the same to Bill's Plumbing, sub contactor. A job well done by all. We have hired Chuck twice over the past few years. First we used Spring Home Improvement to remodel our kitchen and lay hard wood floors. We were most impressed and happy with the remodel. We decided to call Chuck and crew to remodel two bathrooms, master and kid’s bath. We were largely happy with the remodel project, which did come in under budget. In both cases there were minor issues that Chuck and crew were very willing to come and revisit. They were quite agile with some surprises we sprung on them during the projects, like removing some medicine cabinets, drywall patching and painting, things like that. In the end, we have a beautiful kitchen and main level floor, and beautiful bathrooms thanks in large part to Chuck and his crew. Chuck has always been communicative with us pretty much from start to finish. To make sure you don’t believe I’m blowing sunshine, we haven’t always been happy with the answers to the questions we’ve gotten. Truth is we did have to buy a new counter top because some wires were crossed when it came to measuring. Originally, one of the sinks in a bathroom was too close to the wall. We weren’t able to see that until the counter was cut and brought in and installed. We missed the communication on that. I called Chuck, we talked about it, started thinking about options and alternatives, but he wouldn’t let it go unless I was satisfied with the end product. We decided to buy the new countertop, cut it the way we ultimately wanted, and we’re glad we did. All that and he still came in under budget. Granted, he did give us a worst case scenario with the estimate. It’s like he’s been doing this for a while, you think? I’ve had some pretty unsatisfactory experiences with contractors here in the Springs. I’m happy to say Chuck has not been one of them. If we ever need remodeling done again, we will call Chuck. We know he and his crew will do a good job and meet or exceed our expectations. Less
