Pileggi Painting

We hired Pileggi Painting to paint the exterior of our house, based on Google reviews and our own research. They were easy to work with regarding setting up the initial visit to determine our quote, which was reasonable to us. We reached out in the early Spring to start the process, but due to the continued rain, we were added to a list and were told we would be contacted about the date they would start. During that time, we wish there would have been a check-in more often, but when I did reach out they responded with an update. We requested an in-person walk through prior to the start of the project, and were initially told they would schedule it, but then decided later it was not needed, even though we requested it again. They were flexible with us regarding start date, and arrived on-time and walked through with us then. We were able to review the details and plan, as well as duration, which we all agreed to. They delivered on our initial agreement, and did not add anything additional. They walked around the house with me when they were almost finished to ensure things were as expected. I was able to point out a few minor items, which were fixed upon the final walk through. I never noticed that the project manager came by as he said he would to check on things, but he did check in after our final walk through with the painting crew. My husband had come home by then and walked around the house and found a couple of additional items, so the project manager came by the next morning to review it with us. We were not happy with the clean-up of the project. No tarps or coverings were laid down around our home at all, and we have window wells so a lot of paint chips were down inside the window wells and around our yard. Also, we have rocks in one area, and the chips were all over and in the rocks. They asked me if they could clean their paint brushes in our yard, and I specifically said no, but they did it anyway. They left areas of white paint in the lawn. They removed our plastic christmas light clips from the gutter and instead of collecting them or putting them somewhere, they just let them drop all over the yard and didn't pick them up. The project manager acted like he noted our feedback, and offered to pick/clean up the paint chips, but it was pretty impossible, and we ended up cleaning up most of it ourselves. Overall, the craftsmanship was good but there are some things that could be improved regarding the crew's work. It was an overall good experience, and our house looks great!
