As an avid runner who suffered multiple ankle sprains in late 2023, I cannot recommend Dr. Jordan Stewart enough. When persistent pain began affecting both my running and recovery, I sought Dr. Stewart's expertise in early 2024.What impressed me most was his methodical and conservative approach. Rather than rushing to surgery, he first prescribed a comprehensive treatment plan including custom orthotics, bracing, targeted exercises, and a modified running schedule. Only after exhausting these non-surgical options did he recommend surgical intervention.In November 2024, Dr. Stewart performed a gastrocnemius recession (to release tight calf tissue) and a modified Bromstrom lateral ankle repair. His surgical skill was matched by his excellent pre and post-operative care. He provided clear instructions for recovery, including a month of non-weight bearing followed by a month in a medical boot, along with dedicated physical therapy.I'm thrilled to report that by February 2025, just three months post-surgery, I've been able to begin ‘easy’ running again. The healing process has progressed smoothly, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results of Dr. Stewart's work.For any runner or athlete dealing with foot and ankle issues, Dr. Stewart offers the perfect combination of conservative care when appropriate and surgical expertise when necessary.
