We had an absolutely outstanding experience with River Run Fishing and guide Taylor Klarman. My son and I spent three full days on the water, and it exceeded every expectation. Taylor’s expertise, professionalism, and passion for fishing truly set the tone for an unforgettable trip. Fishing from his specialized river boat gave us access to incredible spots and a variety of fishing experiences that you just don’t get on a typical outing.Each day brought something unique. One day was high-action with nonstop catches, landing a great mix of rainbow and brown trout of all sizes. Another day was focused on trophy fishing, and it absolutely delivered. Our final day targeting trophy smallmouth bass was just as exciting, and we even mixed in trout and sucker fish for a truly action-packed experience.Taylor knows these waters inside and out and works hard to make sure you have success while enjoying every moment. Had an absolute blast with Taylor guiding us 3 days in a row! We did a day on the Upper Watauga and a day on the Lower Watauga for trout - then a third day on the Holston River for Small Mouth. Too many fish to count throughout the whole trip! Mixed fly rod and spin rod methods and it all produced. Taylor is a very well informed guide. Flexible and interactive fishing adapting to the changing elements of the river. 100% recommend! We will be back!

First time catching smallies makes me feel like catching large mouth will never be the same, our guide Taylor was amazing, very upfront about everything to. My uncle and I did the smallmouth bass river run with him on the holsten river, showed us how smallies like to eat compared to large mouth and how they act. Would 100% recommend him and definitely gonna come back !

Had a blast with River Run Angling! Our guide was friendly, professional and knew the river like the back of his hand. It was the first time I had ever touched a fly fishing rod. But not only did I avoid tangling myself in the line, hooking myself or someone else, or falling out of the boat, we caught 15 trout thanks to our guide's patient and effective instruction. My husband and I fished with Taylor on a full day trip. Taylor picked us up from our lodging and took us to and from the river which was nice to not have to worry about transportation. Taylor was very patient and kind while working with a couple of beginners. We caught a lot of fish throughout the day and his passion for fishing really showed through his knowledge of the river and being able to put us on fish consistently throughout the day! We are already planning a return trip in the fall! Highly recommend Taylor and River Run Angling.

Taylor spent 1 day reel fishing on river with my 79 yr old Father and 17 yr old son. Caught lots of brown trout and some rainbow. They told me Taylor was very friendly and patient, they thoroughly enjoyed their 1/2 day guide. 2nd day Taylor spent entire day with 17yr old teaching him how to fly fish (1st timer) and my son loved learning a new skill while being on the water. Thanks to Taylor for not only the time he spent with my family, but also for his service and all he does to give back to others!
